    I think it's pouting!

    At max

once in a while my AT Pro gets a powerful tone that won't allow detecting. I found out that if I just loosen the battery door, ao the batteries lose contact, then reclose it, the detector works fine. Could be a problem just for my machine, but easy fix

Ole Pro in on a few Pandemic hunts

I've been detecting for 40 years and i agree with your overall assessments. Now I grid parks and schools from one end to the other, instead of meandering. Good luck on future hunts!

Garrett Takes On A New Shape (more hints)

Sorry, but I'm super satisfied with my AT Pro. Had it for over a decade, and would get another one if it conked out. Plus, I'm not sold on rechargeables. I buy my batts at Costco, and get about 24 hours of service from the set of 4

    Garrett service

E-mailed Garrett to order a new arm-rest set, as both parts had broken once or twice, and I'd managed with super-glue. Maureen messaged back that they would send me a new set for free, and mail that same day. Top notch service, I"d say!

    God bless Pro-pointer!

Was at a tot lot the other day and got a 3-foot diameter, multi-signal bee,or rather, beeps, at the bottom of a slide. It took a while, but i retrieved 90 pennies from that circle!. The pro-pointer made it way easier!

    headphones

Since I don't need expensive, hi-tech headphones for my urban detecting, I've discovered that airline in-flight movie clip-ons work just great for my needs. I can wear any kind headgear, I can hear my Pro-pointer, the sound quality is perfect for my type detecting, and they're light and easy to...

    serendipity

Yesterday was my wife's birthday, so at dawn I went "shopping" for a present at a local park. Got a target registering 45 on the screen, dug it [sounded less like trash and more like something good], and out came a 14k gold ring with 7 [of 8 possible] green gemstones. Sadly, the ring was...

    Hospital lawn farmers market, cont'd

After my first day's hunt of the Farmers market, netting 120- plus coins, $13- plus value, on the 4th of July, I went to see what goodies were at the community park, after the fireworks. Usually it's way fun, all the lost "artifacts" and spilled money. But when I arrived at dawn, I couldn't...

5th year of retirement this day. coin celebration

Hunted a wide lawn in front of our local hospital, where a farmer's market is held weekly. A shiny 1999 50 cent piece [surface]; 33 quarters, 40 dimes, 12 nickels; 40 pennies, in 2.5 hours. Mostly dug-coins, some down 4 inches. Still have a third left of lawn. Have to wait, though, to finish...

    Crop circles in local park?

Went to a nearby park to hunt and relax [park has little to offer over the years], but just the opposite occurred. Looking around, I could see 6-inch brown circles, quite visible from a distance, in sharp contrast to the deep green of the grass. Alien crop circles? No. My guess is that some...

    New coil

Tried out my new 5x8 DD AT PRO coil from Bart's Big Boys [see feedback forum], and noticed a marked increase in nickel and dime recoveries, even tho I'd been over the snack bar area last year with the 8.5x11 DD. Some surface finds, but mostly 1- to 2-inch depth targets registered clearly, ones I...

    New coil

Thanks, Bart's Big Boys, for the prompt delivery [free!] of my new 5x8 DD AT PRO coil yesterday. Use it today and noticed a real increase in nickels and dimes, even compared to my 8.5x11 DD coil! Both will have an important spot in my daily detecting. Good service!

    Hard to beat

At least for ME to beat: three $1 coins; 43 quarters, 17 dimes 8 nickels 25 cents and three silver rings [Don't know how to do photos], going over areas on a college campus that I haven't done for fifteen years. The AT Pro makes it soooo easy to find the good stuff!
