    that v3i should hit the coins easy. would be nice if you could test with another coil. might want to try a couple air tests on a a qaurter and penny at stock settings and post it here.

    are you talking about natural gold or jewelry? and where r u hunting, state, type of soil etc. you mentioned prospecting, so yes one of the coils i mentioned are good for smaller areas like under brush, between rocks. also better for mineralized ground like out west. bigger coils will go...

    one thing for sure, if you dont already have a 4x6 dd or at least a 6x10 dd coil, you should prolly get at least one of the two. the pros here im sure will go into more detail. but they will likely want to know where your going to hunt. good luck

    yea i dont want you to get hurt in the heat, thats why i said " if your using a buried coin yourself". thought you may have been testing on a coin you had in a garden. look forward to seeing your results when your able to get out.

    hey Rob, if your using a buried coin yourself, if you get a chance, can u tell us if your getting any more depth with your new coil on that buried coin compared to a similar coil such as d2 or super 12, whatever you might have. ive read anywhere from 0 to 2". and i know it varies with soil...

    20hrs! count me in! i will be going places far from home and would love to be able to camp out in the woods with no need for power for 2 or 3 days, and that 2900 is gonna be there if its good for even CLOSE to 20hrs. 1 2200 1 2900 1 stock nimh 1 aa rechargeable 2400mah its like takin a vacation.
