    -9 targets on X-terra 50

Has anyone dug a target that registered -9 on the display? Just curious. I now have my X-Terra 50 for 2 years now and am very impressed with it. I always hunt in All-Metal mode. Only I have never had a target that indictated as -9 on my detector. -6 sure show up a hell-of-a-lot...

    Headphones for the X-Terra 50

What is your opinion on the best headphones to use for an X-Terra 50? Looking for something more lightweight than I currently have, and also has independent volume controls for each ear. Thanks

Impressed with the 6" high freq. coil

Managed another outing with my X-Terra 50 with the 6" HFDD. Spent two hours around a junky bus stop while children were in a nearby school learning. Had a lot of fun getting to know this little coil. Unbelievably precise working through the trash. Here is some of what I dug up. 71 coins for...

6" 18.75kHz DD coil question

Last week I managed to add a new 6" high frequency coil for my X-Terra 50. I got some use out of it. Got a question though. I was under the assumption that the DD coil makes a thin blade like signal in the centre of the coil, from the front of the coil to the back. Like Nero's pic shows...

    Detecting baseball fields

I live close to a large park that has around 10 baseball fields. I know there is a very good possiblity that jewellery can be found in each of these baseball fields. I've never detected these fields before. While walking my dog, I came upon talking to a couple gentlemen that came early for...

    Last weeks old home finds

Got out last week and had permission to detect a 160 year old home. I befriended the elderly couple that live in this home for just over 60 years. Their house is only walking distance from where I live. Got some good historical background of the area around his home. Pretty much developed with...

Got lucky today - X-Terra 50 finds :super:

Got out for about 90 minutes at a school on the west side of the city. Scored me a good haul of coins and a couple pieces of jewellery which made my pouch feel heavy. $4.63 in coins, a .925 silver bracelet, and a 14k childs ring, two keys and another Cineplex game token. Thank God that a good...

Low battery performance of X-Terra 50

Just curious! I have an X-Terra 50 and love it, only I can't get out as often as I like due to a disability to test this issue. So this thought just came up. How many continue to use their XT50 from 50% batttery power and letting them run 'til empty. Do you find you are not getting enough...

What number do you ground balance your X-Terra 50 at?

I asked this question in another forum, but would like to get a greater response.:twodetecting::twodetecting::twodetecting: The X-Terra 50 has a range from 0 to 20. Detecting in and around Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, my X-Terra 50 generally ground balances anywhere from 3 to 5, with the standard...

    Short hunt got me this...

Got out Tuesday for less than an hour at a well hunted park. Spent time looking for deeper targets. It's not something that I have done before as I always look for productive areas which produce only shallow coins. Well I wanted to see how my X-Terra 50 handles deeper targets, and was rewarded...

First day with the X-Terra 50

Finally a nice day to go out. Chose to go to a local park today for a couple hours. I was a little slow today trying to get myself familiar with my new toy. Managed $3.82 Canadian in finds. In the mix I found a 1962 silver dime at a nice clear depth of 6 inches. Whoopee! Favorite find was a...
