    Thank you for commenting. This was a very precise use of the metal. To find it with no corrosion is amazing. Even brass or bronze corrodes in Salt Water. This has been there for a long time underwater. This is a very high quality alloy metal. The track on the bottom perplexes me.

    Any Ideas?

    My take on this: Some sort of presentation box. Military. Crown could be Canadian, English, most likely northern european. The V looks like an oak cluster or olive cluster. Could signify an award at the end of a campaign or victory. Generally where was this found? A river in what country?

    Looks to me like a medallion of some kind. If there is no sign of a metal attachment, it could of been "bonded" to something and fell off. It looks like copper, is it?
