very slow scanning speed
9/3/2022 and today, (9-4-2022) I made a few more "playground" finds. I didn't cover much ground today but my slow scanning method with a recovery of 4 (using the Equinox 800) is working out fantastic for me. The one thing I changed in my above settings is I maxed out sensitivity to 25. Making this change sure made a difference! A two point jump in sensitivity doesn't seem like much but it made the difference in "lighting up" the deep coins. Soon as I made this change, I started making finds in the 8"- 11" range. Scan slow, low and hit any area at multiple angles where it produces a good find. Listen for faint high tones and don't pay too much attention at the TID. Why? the TID's are going to swing wildly back and forth as you scan over the deep coins. As long as the tones don't "drop out" get your digger out!
Overlooked children's play area at a park formed in the early 1900's.

Returned to the children's early 1900's play area....
No silver coins but I did find a Few IH pennies (1887 and 1908) 34 more wheat pennies for a total of 87 wheaties! I also found a dateless buffalo and a 1908 "V" nickel and the .925 pendant. If you missed it, here is the first part of the story...
