Aerial antenna

Well-known member
Does anyone use the aerial antenna.
I wonder if you have it on all the time on dry land if it will communicate better and save battery life. Similar to cell phone communication the farther you are from the tower the more power it has to use to communicate and less battery life. Just a thought

The battery life of the RC is longer than you will hunt on any given day, the savings would be nominal at best. It’s rated for 15 hours of usage using the BC headphones or RC speaker, 30 hours with wireless headphones.

I only use the aerial antenna on the xp deus 1 when I have it set up to hunt in the water.
The antenna I made up that runs half way up the inside of the shaft stays on all the time. I can detach the upper and lower for storing in my backpack with out disturbing anything.
