I did something that I rarely do anymore, and I hit a small local park where they were tearing out the old ball diamond to put in some newfangled bike thing. Dug an old varsity Baseball pin, a bunch of copper Memorials, 6 Wheats, a '46 Nickel, and a '50 Rosie. Oddly, three of the six Wheats I dug were '56s.

You've got to keep your eyes open for any opportunities and then jump on it before someone else gets your treasures.

So which coil did you use on the tear out??

I still had the Coiltek NOX-15 on it from the field hunts. Ran in 5kHz, All Metal, All Tones, Recovery 2, Tracking ON.
When I encounter jumpy mid to low tones that sound like maybe they're something worthwhile, I switch to 15kHz to see if it settles down. If it does, I dig it. If it doesn't, there's a good chance I'll pass on it.
