Has anyone seen a detector more accurate at target i.d than the the Gold bug pro and the Teks g2's in trash?? I have them all including Nokta and Minelab and nothing beats the 19 khz ftp machines. First Texas Products. Best in the trash that I've seen. Oh the Gama 6000 is still a kick ass machine...

No I have not found another detector for tid that is even close. Minelab is deeper but I don't jive with their tones. Just me. All have different experiences. All most all of my finds are gold bug. Once you hit the gray clay that is it. Most finds are above that

Everything is different depending on soil conditions. In MN my f5 did very well . Slight mineralization depth was good . Black dirt one bar . In VA it goes from 2 to max depending on oxides in the soil. Gold bug does wonders were others Fail to iron . The problem with 800 eqx you have no idea about the soil. It changes very fast. As you swing along it would be nice for a dirt meter . Maybe the Manticore has one I don't know but will not buy one.

I just bought my 3rd G2. To me, it's one of the best detectors ever made, esp. for the prices now. I've gotten rid of my Equinox's, Deus 1 and2 and have gone back to the older detectors that I can understand and have bigger letters and numbers on the screen face. The G2+ has the low weight and bigger info. I really do love the tones on it. At my age I simply could not understand all the symbols, what they mean and how to pull them up ( on the Eq. ad Deus). I know ,for a young guy this doesn't make sense. Some of you understand and the others will find out later. My age (87) forced me to make changes and I have no problem with the decision. I' m having fun again now! To me, detecting has always been about getting outside, relaxing and enjoyment with no pressure. I never had a bucket list. I dig. I find. I enjoy. We are all different and I can understand the bucket list concept. I don't need ANY more pressure on me. Oh yes, the G2+ is detector number 56. I must admit it is (WAS) crazy.

I had a Gold Bug Pro and wouldn’t mind getting another or a G2+ but other than weight and size the Relic equals and in most cases stomps it (speed, depth, tones). They both run on 19khz so maybe that’s the reason for the good t.i.d?
