Stolen Whites Spectra V3i from Ashland Massachusetts. It is registered in my name and only i have passcode. It it still of value to thief?

My Whites Spectra V3i detector, case, headphones and more was stolen from Ashland Massachusetts. It is registered in my name and I have passcode. Is it of value to thief? Facts: They were not stolen from you.
My intentions have always been to help you recover from your loss.
I had let my brother borrow it. He passed away while in possession of it and now it cannot be found.
At this moment in time no one stole the V3i from you. When you loan anyone anything it is 'their' responsibility to return that item to you. Period!
Thank you so much. The timeline would be September 2023- March 2024. The estate has been in flux since he died without a will. Thank you for your help and concern.
If it were me, I would file a lien in the probate court.
I am truly sorry for your loss. May God bless you.

Of course you're right, Sir, leatherneck, Sir.
The criminals have the time and, above all, the energy to hide these crimes and make it difficult for honest people to find out the truth. I just wanted to show what the registration should be for. Personally, I have always found it difficult to buy a registered V3(i). It's clear to me, as it is to everyone else, that things are different with cars, instruments and so on. But that's not the subject of this thread. But thanks for all the hidden hints and tips.
I apologize for interrupting this conversation.

Vito,
I and most all members here appreciate your advice. I always believe you will add to the members asking for help. I have received help from you on many occasions. And, I have noticed you are always glad to be of help. I realize I do not have very much knowledge in metal detecting. That is why I am here. You, and none of my fellow members owe me or anybody else an apology for making statements intended to help a fellow member. You are very appreciated. I am deeply saddened by Mariehs' loss.
Perhaps I am under a lot of mental anguish and anxiety and could have been more capable of advocating my wife just lost a battle for her life with several medical problems. Stella was the love of my life. My whole world revolved around her.

Deeply Sorry for your loss. 😔

Marieh, I'm deeply sorry for the loss of your brother and sorry that your detector has gone missing.
If there's anyone trusted doing the inventory, or who has access, perhaps they never bothered to look in the trunk of his car?
Leatherneck, I am deeply sorry for the loss of your beloved Stella.
