This post is from the last couple of hunts. Those one and two dollar coins are HOT using the Vortex brand. Going to buy a gold coin or gold nugget at the end of this year with my $$$.

Kind of a nice sterling silver lady's ring. And what looked like a real quartz crystal turned out to be a fake. Oh well, it's all part of the game.:)

Gewizz John. Your killing me.
I'm getting envious of your finds.
Pretty soon your gonna be showing us a treasure chest packed full of goodies.
Kidding.
Awesome works.
Your finding some really nice stuff.

John, this weather is so hot I am not seeking and finding anything. I always enjoy your posts. Is the Air Force base still in Edmonton? It has been 57 years since I used to fly into the base . US Navy. Always treated royally.

Yes, the Air Force Base is still in Namao, Langcaster Park. It's not active at the moment. The tower in inoperative at the moment. I remember working there as a civilian many years ago. I worked on the runways, as I had the proper radio license at the time. It was required as I had been flying hot air balloons. I haven't heard from you for years. I hope all is well with you.

Interesting about the hot air balloons . A friend of mine was killed in one. Used to be an annual race from Helen, Georgia to the South Carolina coast. Years ago. Hit a very high voltage line. I always thought he was a little nutty. I spent a couple of years flying airships out of Lakehurst, NJ. Anti- submarine warfare type .342 feet long. The gondola was 82 feet long and 2 decks high. I do not miss them. LOL. I'm sure you had some exciting times in the hot air balloons. I think you were a brave man to fly those "things". Yes, it has been a long time. All is well except old age kicked in. Thanks for asking. My detecting has slowed down considerably but I still get out with my shovel and VX9. I use the shovel as a cane also. June began my 52nd year of detecting but there are many guys and dolls that have been digging a lot longer. Take care my friend!

"I use the shovel as a cane." Too funny, as I can relate to that. I use mine to help boost myself from kneeling to standing. It's definitely a good workout for fellows like us. :)
