Here are all my coins so far.....some in pretty bad shape due to rust. They will need a good cleaning in my rock tumbers at the end of the season.

I did a quick break-down of my one and two dollar coins only. $179.00 I have have got to be pushing $300.00+ dollars so far this year. Twice in the past 40 years I sent a set of Canadian coins to help with identifying our nickel plate over steel coins. I have tried other make of detectors, and they don't come anywhere near the ability to pick up our coinage. The AT Pro was another great machine for my coinage. You guys have it easy with your coins and how they read on metal detectors.

16 rings so far......but no gold? Weird.......... :cry2:

Here's the jewelry. I am amazed at at how the VORTEX sounds off on chains.

There are still tokens out there to be found. I don't know of any businesses that still use them.

Its a rare day when you find a $1 coin here in the states. I could only fantasized $1 & $2 coins replacing dollar bills.

Thanks for the metal composition of Canadian coins. I remember getting a very broken signal on the beach one day. I was shocked to see a Canadian quarter.
Sounded like a rusty bottle cap that I normally wouldnt dig. Glad the new Garrett is making life it easier for you.

John, which coil do you prefer using?
The 6" x 11" viper search coil works very well. I nice compromise between the 5" x 8" and 14" x 11" Reaper coil. It gets great depth, nice accurate ID readings and is OK for working in the woods due to it's size. I might like to add that I have the 5" x 8" coil, which I haven't used yet. I am waiting for our first frost of the year to get rid of the leaves on the bushes, giving me room to utilize that small coil. That 5" x 8" coil is great for tight spots. It's the only coil my buddy uses on his AT Pro.

Garret detectors, especially the AT Pro/Max And The Vortex are really superior to any other manufacturers in regard to reading our Canadian coinage. I twice sent a set of our coinage to Garrett going back to the days of the imaging detector lines. I think the engineers must have looked at them and tweaked their machines to somehow read the coins. For many years, stores only sold Garrett detectors in Edmonton.
