He used to post here quite a bit and then walked away pissed because of some of the comments and I think he was right to a point. I think a little bit of harassment is to be expected and fun but there is a line. I hope that he comes back at some point. Scott is a decent guy with some real knowledge that I'd like to see back here. Get out there.

I agree. I'm not a subscriber to his channel but I do watch some of his stuff and appreciate his opinions on detectors and detecting. I don't have a problem with him. Haters are gonna hate. Good luck hunting.

I don't think anyone hates Calabash, I just think not many agree with him. In his defense he was left unsupervised with a go pro and a metal detector, well I guess we know the end of the story

I watch him occasionally.
Though he can really get biased on what he does and doesn't like.
Especially comparing detectors.
Almost like staged finds testing I've seen him do in the past.

Oh he's got some haters. Have you ever heard him start in on Garrett AT Pro . Those guys hate him. LOL. When you buy a detector you don't become part of the company But a lot of guys act like that. If you say something about their detector of choice its like you slapped their momma. Your Momma lacks separation and her coil sucks ! Thems fighten words Boy. Get out there

When Calabash started detecting and hit the forums asking questions around 2015 he had a AT Pro ,that was his first unit..Then he got a XP machine and started blasting Garrett by making YouTube videos and XP started funding his YouTube channel,and funding him with machines . I won't debate that but it's true .
His approach to YouTube is like WWF on early television, stir the pot, get wrestlers everyone hated because that made everyone watch. I don't visit his YouTube channel, I've said before my test bed has more time in this hobbies than he has..If people hate him then he's accomplished what he's set out to do, he's getting noticed, I guess it's better to burn out then fade away.
I like all machines, haven't ever bought anything that didn't work and I didn't have fun and success with.. There are some machines that are overpriced imo for all the more they bring to the table but that really comes down to preference, and opinion..I like XP, had one since they first came out.

You know he left this forum like every other forum because people didn't agree with him? Is finds hurting for members? I've never heard of a forum asking someone to come back? Well,I guess with winter we all need something to keep us amused
I am the moderator and I asked him to consider logging back in. I am looking for interesting conversations with XP Deus as the subject matter. To be fair I don't agree with everything that he says either. But it doesn't matter, I like the ideas that come from the posts. If he did come back to the forum people can read what he says or just scroll by, But we will be keeping it civil or heads will roll. Get out there

Ain’t that the truth not to change the subject but I said to Kurt from Hoover boys why he keeps on using the AT pro his response “all detectors will signal over a target “ lol now he swings a Manticore which I asked him if he would try one sometime.
Point being everyone’s gonna have different views and not everyone hunts saltwater freshwater I’m lucky enough that I can do both and it definitely makes you better.

If Calabash Digger was testing the XP Ikon7X or any other new XP detector, he would have at least mentioned it in a recent video. He has not.
Why do you keep mentioning stuff like: "on sale by Xmas"?
The last report of a direct email reply from XP about this project detector was clear back in late September 2025. Wasn't it you that posted this along with the fact the XP did not mention this project at Detectival 2025? "Hello, This project is still in development and will not replace the DEUS II range. We have no date to announce, but we will communicate in due course"
