Any ideas on this coin/copper

Found at a cabin that could be 18th century. Any ideas on this coin/copper? 22.8gm, 40.8mm wide, 2.33mm thick. Has what I think is ‘chop marks’.

Could be a homemade copper penny. Back then the Penny contained the equivalent amount of copper to its value
