Way back when limits were set for selling, it was 1 detector per 90 days and 6 accessories per 90 days.

One day in the recent past I happened to notice its only 1 accessory per 90 days,
Was that copy and paste error or is that the correct limit for accessories ??

Is there any way we can raise the limit on detectors ?? With so many new detectors on the market,
we all like to try different machines. With the 1 per 90 days, the classifies are very stagnant.

Just something to throw out there as I have quite a collection building up !!!!

I have wondered about that also.----Especially the allowable accessory limits for sale.

Good question, Donna,

I’ve seen a certain person (not a sponsoring dealer) sell multiple detectors claiming they were selling for a friend over a period of a month

That surely is a violation of Findmall Forum rules.

I’ve been a member for over twenty years and have had dealings with several members who were about the same. I understand that the rules are there to deter scammers and folks who join just to sell something but there should be some leeway for old time members who are here to enjoy the hobby.

Amen! My 2 cents: 1 per 90 helps nobody: not the forum, not the dealers, not the detectorists.

Many detectorists buy different machines to try out, and If it's hard to unload the ones you're done with / have no use for, then it slows everything down.

For instance: I bought a few Tesoro's and a CZ, had fun with them, shared with fellow forum members where to get replacement knobs, (sharing info and / or experiences on the forum with other detectorists helps both the forum as well as detectorists) and now I want to try something else.

But that's not happening till the ones I have are sold. If I sell 1 in 90 days then it will take a while before the 4 are sold and those hobby funds are freed up to buy something else (perhaps used, perhaps new).

Not much new to report till there's a new machine in the stable, so not much posted on the forum (at least from me).

But perhaps I'm overlooking a real valid reason for this 1 in 90 situation?
