    Probably the closest thing you will find (that's made to work on the V3i) would be the 4x6. But you probably already knew that.....;o)

    anything better than 10x12 coil?

    I cut the wire back about 3 inches and then unsoldered all the connections and then re soldered them back in place. That seems to have fixed the problem....But I forgot to put the collar back on......Lol. I will have to un solder them and then put the collar back on and hope I can make it work...

    The symptoms are the detector acts like it cant see the coil. No pinpoint or ID. Here is a picture. Seems like there is nothing connected to the number 3 pin. Don't know if this is normal or not?

    Sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread.....When I turned the V3i on and was sweeping I was getting targets that were reading real deep like 11-12 inches. I got a good nickel signal and it said 11" deep. Turns out it was right on the surface. The pinpoint was real weak too. Maybe that is a clue...

    Its funny I saw this thread. I got one of the 10x12 SEF coils in a trade and have only take it out twice and it seems to have a problem at the plug that plugs into the detector. It will not work unless I move the cable around in certain positions. I am assuming something is loose in the plug...

    Have you turned on the VCO option for pinpointing? Makes pinpointing a lot easier.

    Seems like it is closer to where the lower rod attaches instead of the middle.

    My TRX appears to be dead already......;o(

    Had it turned on and it seemed to have locked up. I had to unscrew the cap and pull the batteries out to get it to turn off. It will not power on. I tried different AA batteries and a 9 volt. So far its dead. I will leave it sit for a while......The good thing is I know Whites will make it right...
