    One more piece of gold

    from the beach I like to hunt. Found the usual clad and towards the end of the hunt this find comes to light, 12.5 grams of 14k, love those midlow tones on the excal....My hunting partner also found a 14k bracelet. Thanks for looking. HH

    Two July 4th finds....

    Today's finds

    Left early this morning and hunted about 3 hours. Found 43 quarters, 19 dimes, 11 nickles, 47 pennies, 5 silver rings with 2 having small diamonds but don't know if they are real and a 14k teeth grille. Tested it with 10k, 14k and 18k acid, the first two didn't phase it, the 18k dissolved it...

    Frozen shaft

    Is there anything I can soak the lower rod with that will make it come loose? I always take the lower rod off the shaft on my Plugger rod when I get home from hunting. This time I got home, flushed it good with freshwater but had things to do so waited a couple of days, that was a mistake...

    My hunting partner has a quart size baggie of some type of white powder that he uses in his tumbler to clean coins but doesn't remember what it is.
