    Old safe dial

Found an old safe door that had been thrown out by the trash. The people had taken the door off and really ruined an old safe that I'm sure would of gotten some good money from a collector, instead they sold it for scrap except for the door that I picked up. I went ahead and removed the brass...

Question on water hunting by private property.

Here's the deal guys. While hunting around the dry piers of a county park I noticed that a restaurant right next to the park also has their piers almost on dry land. Would I need to ask permission to hunt under these piers? I wanted to call them today but just can't remember the name of the...

When I got to the lake I talked to the gate keeper and he said 2-3 guys had been hunting there almost everyday for the last couple of weeks, sure hated hearing that. And...

    Corpus Christie Beach

I was watching ch13 news this morning (Houston) and they had a segment on the tropical storm headed for the Gulf of Mexico. They were at a beach in Corpus and in the background in ankle deep water was a water hunter, just wondering who it was, maybe Keith or Willie.....?

    OT...Stiff fingers and joints....

Just wondering if any of you hunters have the same problem I've been experiencing. Lately, since I spend alot of time swinging the Excal II and carrying the the Reilly scoop, my hands have both been bothering me. My hands start to ache and my fingers start to also ache and lock up on me, guess...

Rockport Beach gives up one gold ring

Jaime and I headed down to Rockport Beach yesterday for a few hours of hunting. The beach is beautiful and very nicely kept, the grounds people do an excellent job of keeping the beach clean. We found the ususal clad and junk jewelry but after a couple of hours I found this silver toe ring in...

    Silver in change

My daughter got a 1943 silver quarter two weeks ago at walmart with her change, she brought it to me since she knows I collect them. Tonight, my grandson, also got a 1943 silver quarter at McDonald's and also brought it to me. Sounds like maybe someone is dipping into Dads' or Moms' coin...

    Bedliner paint on coil

Since my Excal is now out of warranty and I hate to use the cover, what bedliner paint do you guys use? Does it just come in a spray can or can you buy a can and brush it on? I've already put the Peltor 101's on and I can hear whispers I couldn't hear before. Thanks, HH

    Today's beach finds

Went back to the beach for a couple of hours. The strong southeast winds that tore up the shoreline were gone and we had some northeast winds today. Some of the sand has come back so the finds weren't many. Here are the overall finds. Clad finds were 4 quarters, 17 dimes, 8 nickles and 36...
