Got a Question for all those old timers out there like me???

Hi PDH, I’m inclined to to to agree with U after giving it some real thought. Went out recently to the beach and everything was sanded over and finally found two locations made the difference. It was very windy and as a result it created a lot of wind sand erosion which exposed a lot of coins to...

Went out on s very cold day and only lasted about 30 min.

Hi, the ground is not frozen, the temperature was about 29 degrees, could not feel my finger tips to use my pinpointer or controls on my legend even with some gloves, had to go to get warmed up. 😬🤨

Short cold hunt. After doing some test beds in my back yard, found out that deep targets will not give you true VDI #s. If on the beach using the new 1.17 update, dig all your signals in the wet. I think that all detectors will do that.

    I Have A Question

Hi everyone, Got a good tip for everyone who does hunt certain paths with heavy traffic. If you come across any of these paths that are maintained by lawn maintenance companies in the summer and fall seasons, these are prime areas. When they use the high speed blowers to clean up after...

Just found out that DectorMoe on Y-tube channel passed away.

I don’t know, he did not seem to be too old, maybe in his 50’s. Not sure what happened, not made public. I’m sure somebody will find out.

Got a question about digging Pennie’s.

Hi, I know my machine pretty good and almost dead on zinc Pennie’s, copper VDI#s R different. I tested a bunch of gold rings and jewelry and they all fell below the 40 VDI # on my Legend. The silver rings R a different story, some of them did hit the 40–42 zinc #’s. I don’t know, I’m just going...

    garrett gti 1500

Hi, The GTI 1500 was one of my first detectors many years ago and I still use it today. I do have a couple newer ones and use them all. The GTI 1500 is spot on to pinpoint, depth read out and imaging out there. It’s not too much different from the 2500 which is a little pricy . It can hit those...

An all day beach hunt yesterday.

Hi, not really, mostly surface finds. We had a very windy day with 40 mph gusts causing sand wind erosion leaving most of the heavier material on top like coins, sea shells, pebbles etc… A lot of the other items just bellow the left over sand

Spend all day at the beach with brutal wind conditions.

Went to the beach all day from sun up to dusk and most definitely paying the price today. Wind was just a howling and almost all the beaches were sanded over real bad. When U get these conditions you get a lot of wind surface sand, erosion, leaving all the heavy material on top. If U can find...

My $1.00 hand sand scoop and $6.00 digging and sifting shovel paid for itself today.🤓

Sometimes when the budget does not allow to buy detecting accessaries you have to get creative and think outside the box. Went to the beach all day yesterday and my home made detecting tools paid for themselves, about a $7.00 investment not including my time. Hand scoop: old kitchen can...

Got a question about digging Pennie’s.

Thanx everyone, after reading all the posts, decided that I will have to suck it up and dig those darn Pennie’s, just have to take longer naps at my age. Thanks
