    D2 coil Down under:ausflag:

Finally the D2 coils hit OZ and I got to use one. Straight to the nitty gritty. On small targets, gold under 1/2 gram, it does not have the sensitivity like the DD 10 x 6 Eclipse, you would imagine that this would be the case as Elliptical coils give a sharper response. Very small bits that are...

Now this is a nice nugget!

Took this photo only 1 hour ago from this posting. A customer brought it in to show me. 6 oz of honeycombed gold. Unfortunately is wasn't found with an MXT but it was so shallow that he reckoned anything could have nailed it. So nice I thought id share it. ps: click on the picture to see its...

A nugget on the last swing.

Went out twice in the past few days. Day one scored the small bits, two species and one small crystal gold bit. Day two spent the whole day finding almost nothing except a few small shotgun pellets. I was about to leave for home and was just 20 feet from the car. It was my last swing, my free...

Almost a half ouncer found by a happy MXT owner.

Here,s a pic of a beautiful almost half ounce bit found by one of our customers using the MXT just after he purchased it. He was on his way home with it after picking it up and had his nephew with him. He stopped to have a swing of his other detector and handed the MXT to his nephew. Guess who...

Whites Dual Field Surf PI question?

Could someone please tell me if the new Dual Field Surf PI is any better than the last model Surf PI at finding gold chains or telling the diff between metals? Any info would be appreciated.

Question on the new Dual Field Surf PI

Does anyone know how well this machine does on gold chains as opposed to the last model? Is it better in that regards? Does the new one have any way of determining what metal you may have detected? I would greatly appreciate any info that anyone has on this.

    Some small MXT gold.

I got this stuff again with the MXT 5.3 coil combo. Don't sneeze or it'll blow away. Crazy stuff huh!

    MXT 5.3 Eclipse killer combo

Here's a couple of nice little species I found last week with the MXT and the 5.3 coil. The place only has small gold but its usually in species and looks great. The one with the green bits of quartz in the open hand shot is one of my favourites. About 1 g in it but gives a very weak signal as...

Prizm 4 and 8" coil on goldfield relics & coins.

Here's some coins and relics I picked up recently with the Priz 4 and stock enclosed coil. Some say it doesn't go deep enough blah blah blah but it keeps on pulling in the goods everywhere I go. Proofs in the pudding huh! Good little worker.

    Prizm 4 on Aussie coins & relics:ausflag:

Heres some pics of some of my recent finds with the Priz 4. Coins and relics ranged from the mid 1800s to the mid 1900s. The older 1800 stuff is from our goldrush days and was found around old goldrush camp/home sites. Worked great. Using the stock 8" coil, tone ID.

    New Prizm coils?

Just seen that a few of the Prizms are now being supplied with a coil similar in design/shape to the stock supplied one for the Terra 70's. 9" open web. Look ok. Has anyone here used them and is there supposed to be a difference in their performance?

    MXT and Eclipse 5.3 gold

Ok, second go with some great help. Here's some gold I found with the MXT and the 5.3 coil, except for one which was with the 10x6. There are some other pics but im not going through this again too soon. Was running gain of plus 2, sat 7. Magic coil. The larger specie is just one bit from a...

More on MXT vs Terra 70,s

Found a specimen with the MXT on some ground I had thrashed with the Terra. I was using the 5.3 eclipse on the MXT. I thought I would check it out and see if the reason I had not got it with the 70 was simply because I didn't walk over it, though it was right where I had been finding gold with...

Stupid question on operating freq or Prizm's

Ok, I can hear the laughter from here, but for the life of me I cannot find what the operating freq is on the Prizm's. Could someone please fill me in?

MXT with 5.3 eclipse coil on gold.

Took the MXT out yesterday with the 5.3 eclipse coil on it to some old diggings. I now have to eat my words from another forum where I said the X Terra 70 had no rival amongst VLFs in Australia. Damn, the MXT cruised through some absolute mongrel ground where the Terra would have trouble...

    Some Aussie gold

Thought I would share some Aussie gold with you guys, nothing big but still the right colour. Small stuff all up wieghs in at under 1/2 gram and was found with an X Terra 70 in the cnetral Victorian goldfields (The Golden Trianlge) The species are a perfect example of gold and its association...

Terra 70 Micro gold and species/ nimh myth busted

Heres some Micro gold found with my 70 and a couple of species. The Micro stuff was found with a 6" 18.75khz DD running tracking, sens 30 and a super slow sweep speed(sloth mode). I tried here nimh vs Alks and let the nimh batts run down to the "we've just about had the gong" mark. I can tell...
