    :ausflag:POSTCARDS FROM DOWNUNDER

Heres a look at downunder where I live. Pic 1 is where a mate of mine actually lives, on the goldfields. He recently struck a gutter at 12 foot deep and found nuggets up to 5 ounces. 70 oz all up. Pic 2 is one of the bits he got. Pic 3 is typical of the workings in the area done by the old...

    XTerminator 70 Specie gold

Heres a few bits of specie gold I got recently with the 70. Most of it was really shallow and no deeper than about 3 inches. Auto tracking was on as the ground was insane. Sens was 25 and a super slow sweep speed was used. About 10 sec,s per meter.

    X 70 sensitivity settings

Here's some stuff about the 70 and too high sens settings. In disc mode if you run it too high when there are multiple targets present, say ten in just one sweep area, you will experience target overlap as the coil picks up those around its periphial as well as the one under it. If those either...

    GM 3 vs X Terra 70?

Hi Bobby. I liked the GM3 and the GM4 as well. Over here in Oz I would back the 70 against both of them no probs. I have found a lot of gold with the 70 on ground I had absolutely smashed with the GM3 and the 4. Even the GMT. One place was where the 70 got the altitude jitters too and it still...

Depth on gold with a 70

Some wonder about the depth the 70 can find gold at. Here's a few examples I have experienced. 5 Grams at around 6 inches. Sounded good and I reckon it may have been able to be heard from another 2 perhaps. Medium ground mineralisation. Sens set at 25. I always make it a rough but close...

    1/40th of a gram!!!

I try to get on this thing when I can but often I don't get the chance to for days. Yep, it was 1/40th of a gram and I have found a few that size since. Small gold I know but sometimes fun to find even though it wouldn't even buy me a beer. The settings were 30 on the sens, auto tracking enabled...

    X Terra 70 specimen gold

Here's some species I found along with the others I posted the other week. Pic 1 is of , on the left a bit with leaf gold in it containing about 2 to 2 1/2 gs. On the left is normal gold with about the same amount thereabouts. Pic 2 Is of a crystalline gold/pyrite mix with the one on the left...

    For Bobbylikesgold

G,day Bobby. BT is me and the reason I dont use my full name, just the initials, is that I have a love of writing and detecting but not a love of making a big name of myself as such. I often have mates put people onto me to help them learn a machine and often they have no idea thats its "BT"...
