Took out the MXT again yesterday.....

Yesterday was a great day for metal detecting here in Indiana; the temperatures were in the mid forties. I took out my MXT and headed for an old house on the Hendricks County line. The house was built in the early 1900

A question for Andy or anyone else please.......

I was told or read that the F75 coil will not work on the F2 but it does work on the F4. When I look at the coils from the F75 and F4 they both look alike. I am further confused because It's my understanding that I can use the F4 standard coil on the F2. I'm not trying to confuse anyone with a...

    A question on T2 and F75

Seems to me I had read somewhere that the Older T2's needed to get updated software, is that correct? I also read that the F75 IS the T2 only much better. Can ANYONE end the controversy? Regards Robert Roy

    A question for old timers

Reading forum threads I get the impression that, while having an all around detector is nice, if one is becoming a serious detectionist, one might WANT more than one detector just because one IS better at silver than another, or better at finding gold than XYZ brand etc. It seems that in trying...

    A question to all...

I notice the metal kack on the coil is sticking when I try disconnecting it from the control box to change coils. Sometimes it a real struggle. I wonder if anything like a graphite or what would help. Any suggestions appreciated. Robert Roy

Got a question about the Ace 250

Just wondering about the 9x12 coil for the Ace 250. I finally got the pin pointing down par and detuning as well. I wonder about the following: 1. How much more depth. 2. Because of the size of the coil, will the pin point still be just above the notch? 3. Does one have to dig a slightly...

    Saturdays hunt (:-(

I and a friend went out to her grandmothers farm today to metal detect. It was my friends first time. I let her use my Ace 250 and I took my MXT. The farm is OLD. We went out into the back forty where their old house used to be. They build a new one in 1970 and tore down the old one. The old...

    Question about MXT and gold

Need some expert feedback. I found what I thought was a gold bracelet Sunday. Turned out to be costum jewelry. When it was in the ground, it read a 10 on the MXT VID. When I got it home and ran the MXT over it it read a 4 which is foil. I verified it with my Ace 250. It also read foil. The...
