    Little Star ID

Found this at old homesite. Wonder what the three symbols are. Was a pin, the catch is still there but pin is missing. Anyone know how to straighten it without breaking it?

Found my first large cent today 1844. Also got an 1868 and a 1888 Indian Head.

Checked one off my bucket list today

70 degrees in the middle of November. Took the Apex out and found a shield nickel that I think is an 1869. My hunting buddy Rooster found one earlier in the day about 3 miles from where I found this one. Rang up at 53 whereas a newer one reads a 52.

    Just a word of caution

Your right, usually dodging broken glass and sharp rusty metal first time to find one of those in rural America.

    Just a word of caution

Out with my Apex yesterday and dug a 70 on the Apex it was a strong repeating signal and at 4" I recovered the needle from a syringe. Luckily I didn't get stuck and wouldn't have suspected to find such a thing where I was detecting. Amazing sensitivity for such a tiny amount of metal.

    1893 O 2nd hunt with Apex

It wasn't my 1st time. Doesn't upset me much, maybe if it was a really valuable coin it would.

Just Curious, How Many Now Own The New Apex? Are You Planning On Purchasing One?

So far, still in the learning curve but I think it'll do well for my hunting.

    1893 O 2nd hunt with Apex

Not yet dug a merc yesterday at 4" and it pretty well screamed silver. The barber was about 6" and it screamed even louder.

    1893 O 2nd hunt with Apex

Found in a field where the only other coin we've found is an Indian cent. Not quite onto the pin pointing kissed the tail with my digger. But that's ok looks like farm equipment kissed it also.

    1st Hunt with Apex

It would be close, he lived here when he was in 8th grade probably a little short but I'm not done yet.
