You Done Good Digger! Well Done on saving some CW Cavalry History before it was lost forever.

    Just wondering why

Yes sir they would. Sometimes they would do the same to buttons. I found a hammered Eagle General Service button once, hammered as flat as a coin. I found this just inside a piece of Confetrit' trench line.

    Beach confusion…

Not getting off subject here, but the way I see it is if some of our so called leaders have been able to get away with doing what they have done to U.S. citizens and our country over the last four years and beyond without any recourse..... I believe you should be just fine using your sand scoop...

Great start for 2025...and great week!!!

Myrtle Beach is a great place. My family and I first camped at Myrtle Beach in 1962. We camped many times at the Lake Arrowhead Campground. It was a beautiful campground right at and on the beach. This was always one of our favorite places to camp. We have a lot of fond memories spent there with...

Great start for 2025...and great week!!!

Bud-SC, I'd say you are having a Killer start to the new year. Congrat's to you on some beautiful jewelry, and Continued Success on the beach with the Manticore. What part of SC are you from? Confederate Buckle

You can contact some reputable relic dealers such as Stones River Relics, or the Horse Soldier Relics in Gettysburg, (if they are still open), and they can set you on the right path, and they are both honest, and again reputable. Best of luck to you.

    Confederate Buckle

It is anice looking Buckle, but Warning: do your research. There is unfortunately a lot of fakes floating around. I hope for you two things: 1) that it is an authentic Confetrit' wreath 2 piece Buckle, and 2) if not, I hope you didn't get taken to the cleaners. One has to really be careful these...

    Finely got the Quatro,

I would think a heavier plastic, but not too thick, as these were made of. Have you tried to Google these to see if they are still available for sale? They were not expensive. I hate that I haven't been able to come across the one I had. I really don't remember what I did with it. I have sold...

Yes sir, as you know, campsites is where you are more likely to find Carved bullets.
  15. Confetrit

    Just wondering why

Myself personally, every bullet from the American CW has a story to tell whether it be a dropped or a fired bullet. Like other relic hunters, I've Dug both. Imaginations can be put into play on either. On a fired bullet one can wonder who fired this bullet? Did this bullet find its intended...
