F-75 gets a few wheats and a rosie

I hit a new spot this morning and came up with these...1920, 1910 and 1911 wheatbacks. 1953 dime. I ran 4h audio, sensitivity 30, disc on 6 and nothing notched. Most finds were in the 4 to 5 inch range. The F-75 is a old coin killer! hh'n Mark in NC

    Traded! Thanks Findmall!

DFX, Explorer, White's Beach Hunter ID, CZ20 or excalibur... Ahhh...Spring is in the air! Time for a little detector swapping! The C$ works great and comes with the 8" and 10 1/2" coils. Also included is the owners manual and belt mount plate. The original plastic arm cup has been replaced by...

Don't be afraid to turn down the sensitivity!

I was hunting (mainly experimenting) in my parents yard Sunday afternoon. Their yard has an electric cattle fence running along side it, and is notorious for driving my detectors bonkers. I thought I would see how the F-75 hunted up close and personal to that much broad band rfi. Well, I...

:wiggle: Got a good hunt permission

I've finally gained access to a site that's seen activity for the past 225 years. It's been hunted a couple of times (at least) before...but never with a F-75  The area has one of the oldest Mason lodges around, and a old one room lawyers office from the early 1800's... now I've just...

Trade Coinstrike with extra 10.5 inch coil for.....

DFX, Explorer (either one...not both :) ) (of course, I wouldn't turn down both :) ) The C$ works wonderfully, and has always been one of my favorites. I'm just in the mood to try out some other detectors. Cosmetics of traded machine aren't all that important to me, just that it works great...

There's a new Sheriff in town!!....

Wyatt Earp cleansed Tombstone of the riff-raff back in the 1800's. It looks like John Gardiner of First Texas/Fisher may be doing the same thing with the metal detecting world! With the creation of the F-75, and its incredible performance, John has sent a "straight shootin'" message that First...

Trade: Coinstrike w/ extra 10.5 coil for a DFX or ...

Explorer 2 or SE. The Coinstrike is in good shape and top notch working order. I've found many goodies with it! (and will probably regret trading it.. :) ) The plastic stock arm cup has been replaced with a rugged Fisher metal one. I prefer it as it allows for the cup to be bent slightly to...

F-75 nabs a few more wheatbacks

These came from the same ol' beat to death school yard. All were from 5 to 8 inches. As you can see, the soil around here isn't very kind to copper! One of these was co-located (within an inch) with a really old shotgun shell brass (old paper shell).. I got both ID's clean as a whistle.

    F-75 = POWER!

I think maybe what throws a lot of the new F-75 users for a loop is the huge amount of audio they initially hear when swinging the first couple of times. This, in my opinion, is actually one of the many strengths of the F-75. My reasoning is this: It's an unfortunate fact of life that in most...

The pure "coolness" of notching in!

I did a quick "clad vac" of the nearby school yard this week. I decided to go for the most efficient coinage per minute I could. I cranked up the disc on the F-75 as high as it would go, and then notched in nickels. WOW! Even with the disc cranked, I was getting clad coins in the clay way, way...

    F-75 and batteries

Has anyone been able to completely kill a set of alkalines yet in their F-75? This thing seems to run forever! When I first got it, I was thinking "hmmm backlight on all the time...it may burn up batteries".. Boy, was I wrong! I have well over 40 hours on this set and the battery meter is...

I hereby declare there's a new king of metal detectors....

Hear ye, Hear ye, Forsooth and verily, let the bells ring out and the pigeons fly... I declare that due to the royal performance of the Fisher F-75, and its outstandingly engineered qualities, We hereby crown.... King Dave! I would have made one of John Gardiner too since the F-75 is his...

My first silver quarter with the F-75

Finally got out for a little hunting today... (leaning into the wind at a 45 degree angle :) ) Dug my first silver quarter with the 75 at around 6 inches... sounded great! hh'n Mark in NC

Another old post on process and tones...

I remember reading where Mike Hillis said he "clicked" with this detector. I know what he means! It's hard to put into words, but for me (notice I said "ME")... it just "feels right". It's one of those things where when you pick it up, I already think, "well, here's my old friend". Comfortable...

Well, let's get the ball rolling on this new F-75 classroom...here's an old post on the 75

I posted this a few weeks back over on the Fisher forum... I thought I'd post a few of my initial F75 first impressions and hunting observations. Please keep in mind, these are MY opinions (mileage may vary for others). This is also coming from the perspective of a person who has never used a...

    F-75 warning....

No matter how much you love your F-75...DON'T sleep with it. It'll tick off your wife when she rolls over and that metal arm cuff pokes her in the side! :) Plus I'm not sure how the warranty is for sleep induced detector damage... :) (plus, I've noticed it will get dirt and grit in the bed)...

F-75 at a mega trashy old house site...

I hunted a permission I had yesterday at a old dilapidated house. Been unoccupied since the 60's or early 70's. I started out in 4H and De audio and modes, but the place was just too trashy and had too many small trees and vines. I switched over to Dp audio and Bc process. That did the...
