    Deep coins and iron...

Hi folks... The C$ has amazing ability to sort through close targets, somehow avoiding the problem other detectors have of averaging the junk with the good (where you have a rusty nail and a coin under the coil at the same time, and the detector "combines" the TID into one number) In the same...

    I'm now a 100% "fisherman"...

:fisher: The C$ came in the mail today... so it's official... I'm a "FISHER-MAN". Got me a 3D (yes Tony, they are hot on nickels) :punch: and the ol' trusty Coinstrike! I took 'er out on a short test drive, and I do believe it's a lot more stable than my first one. I may have actually had a...

    I'm baaack!!

 "Let the bells ring out and the pidgeons fly"... I am returning to the mighty Coinstrike fold! I just finished a trade that will, hopefully, redeem me from my previous "turncoat" status. I've missed the C$ since I traded it, quirks and all. When I look back at old coins I've found...

    arm straps....

I've got a 3D, which like most the CZ's, has the nice little slots on the arm cup for a strap. I kinda like using straps sometimes (especially the beach), so what do you strap users use? Does Fisher sell one?... Thanks & HH'n Mark in NC

Wish me luck! I'm heading off for a little beach hunting  ....

using the CZ3D. First time at the beach (only get to go once a year) I've used a CZ, so I'm excited to see how it does. I bought a 10.5 coil a while back, and also a chest harness, so I can get into the edge of the wet stuff. I hope to post some pics of some goodies when I get back (or maybe...

Hunted a trashy old homesite today...

according to the old feller that lives next door, the house is at least 140 years old. It's pretty clear around 3/4's of the house but there's old rusted tin in the ground everywhere! Had a hard time finding a place to GB the 3D. I did manage to nab a nice V nickel though. Enhanced mode id'd it...

Okay, now that ya'll have allowed me to visit again....

Has anyone done some side by side comparisons for depth between the excel and the C$?... I know they use similar innards but I would think the C$ would retain the depth crown... Thanks

Hey Bill.... I took the 10.5 for a few spins and it's done great!

I've not hit any old spots with it yet, but it definitely seems deeper, yet still sensitive to small stuff. Luv the ground coverage! Thanks for the great deal.... HH'n Mark in NC

Okay all this nickel talk made me go out and experiment...warning lottsa pictures

I haven't posted photos since the forum change... so here's hoping they turn out. Admin, if they're too big let me know and I'll delete this post and resize them. It's a nice Sunday afternoon so I thought I'd head out in the yard and see what some items id'd at in both modes on the 3D. This is...
