    Found Aggie ring returned today.

Those rings mean a lot to every Aggie I've ever known, including my oldest daughter and son-in-law. Excellent work.

You have to stay on top of those street tear-outs. It's a lot of ground to cover, but I take it nice and slow.

Oh, you mean the Junior Sheriff badge? It's actually well-made.

The usual places: curb strips, vacant lots, construction sites, old parks. I usually see the holes and trash dug by other detectorists. It's annoying.

This is the sequel to Post #4. Pic 1 is some finds from a construction site. Pic 2 is from a trip to the Gulf Coast: 1889 V nickel, early Great Seal cuff button, silver Roosevelt, large brooch. Pic 3 is a different site near the coast: lead fire hydrant, post office box key, 1934D wheat. Pic 4...

Sequel to Post #3. Pic 1 is from an area that always produces great stuff: My favorite is the 1894 Cotton Palace pendant/fob from Waco, Tx. It's still crisp and clear. The St. Peter's drink token is awesome and I still need to research that and the Flatonia, Tx. token. I posted a pic of the...

This is what keeps me in shape. I don't enjoy sitting still, so I chase grandkids, kayak, hunt for treasure, etc.

Yes, lots of limestone at this site that is not good to silver that's been in the ground for decades. It was completely covered, so I hit it with electrolysis several times.

That makes perfect sense. Toothpaste then.

Here's the sequel to Catchup Post #2. These are all different sites. Pic 1 has a badge from some machinery sold by a hardware store est. 1882. The little flower under the pistol is Sterling. The ring is .925. Pic 2 has a Superior Dairy Ration printers block, and an abused 1900 Barber dime. Pic 3...

Here's the sequel to Catchup Post #1 Pic 1 is the uncleaned pile from a site that never disappoints. Pic 2 is the clean version: 9 silver coins in a day is always a good day. A street tear-out is responsible for these uncovered treasures. Lots of coins from the 1910s. 6 IHs. This was the 1st...

Prematurely pressed "Post Thread". The 2nd Pic is a second attempt at the same site: 1 more Merc. The 3rd Pic is the 3rd attempt at the same site: 1 more Merc and a silver knife scabbard tip. Also a Cracker Jack coin. The 4th Pic is the uncleaned pile from another site. The 5th Pic is the clean...

I just looked back and realized I haven't posted in a year. I've been reading other posts but just haven't taken the time to post my finds. I'll start catching up with this one. The 1st Pic has a medal commemorating the 100th anniversary of Perry's Victory during the War of 1812. There's a Civil...

    Ginormous Gold!

According to new research, 1932 watches are rarer because sales were extremely down that year. Also, if it says 18K on the case, it's solid gold. Otherwise it would have specified Gold-Filled. That's great news. Wadsworth made cases for the 922 in 1932. Also, the "MP" in 922MP stands for...

    US Army ring and more

So Aziz was an engineer. Is there a date and a last name? Nice finds!

    Ginormous Gold!

Ok, my initial research was FUBAR. The serial number on the case really messed up everything. Here's the real goods now. Took me a while to open the movement, then find the serial number. It's down below the movement, so you have to get lighting just right to see it. With that info, everything...

    Ginormous Gold!

If I hadn’t broken the glass, I might have considered it. Restoration sounds expensive.

    Ginormous Gold!

You’re correct. I should have checked the movement numbers. I’ll do that when I get home from work today. Leatherneck also suspected something didn’t add up. Thanks for the info.

    Ginormous Gold!

That’s a great idea. They may not have a Hamilton, but any 18k would get us a ball park figure.
