    Detecting after hip/ knee replacement

    After reading all these posts I feel your pain. I'm 67 and this hobby keeps us going. In pain but the exercise we need. Thinking about digging that gold coin or ring is good for the soul but pain for the body. Keep going mates!

    I started detecting in 1975. Mainly old parks. We used spades. Today they sell the shovel with a (fancy name). They do make a great clean, deep hole but people see you carrying that thing. That is the problem. Everyone with a shovel. And with their cell phones a cop or park worker shows up...
