Bill, Maybe now the wireless phones will be standard issue for all machines? Hope so.

the ground probe percentage reading seems like a very beneficial piece of information it

If you could hunt with your favorite 3 machines all running different frequencies how accurate would your info be on a target? Pretty dead on. Now there's just one machine that can do it. I would assume that when all three frequencies agree then that's as good as it gets. I like hunting with...

    Vision unveiling

Carl, Is the target sizing held tightly to the sweep swing? Or will any speed do the trick? Also since it can give us visual information on all three frequencies at the same time - is there really a need to run a single frequency? Do we see another display for a single freq opposed to the...

Whites Vision does have some nice advancements.

Thought I would be politically correct and post here. Just on the surface it looks like there are some features that all manufacturers should look in to. Competition is good. Good for us because we win with advancements. I'm sure other companies are looking at the Vision seeing what the best...

What would you do next?

I was wanting to hunt some parks that are about 3 hours from me. I was told by a friend that the parks were off limits. So I figured I would ask the Parks and Rec what is on record pertaining to metal detecting. I simply got an email back and here is the quote. "You can use metal detectors...

The way I run my coil cable. If nothing else it's easier for me to change coils. :detecting:

This is the way I run them on any make or model for the last 3 years or so. Sometimes when winding the cable it would be loose or too tight. This way if it becomes loose you simply tug on the loop. I had these pictures in a folder in my computer that I was trashing. So I thought I would post...

Merry Christmas from John's Garrett girls. They traded their Bikini's for Santa suits.

About the same coverage as a Bikini. So I hope I don't upset anyone. Happy Holidays to all and to all a good hunt! :detecting:

Master Hunter coils working on an Ace?

Both the Ace 150/250 and the Master Hunter run at 6.5 kHz. So has anyone tried their Master Hunter coils on an Ace? Will it even connect up? Especially interested in the 10 x 14 DD coil being connected to the Ace.

    Does anyone recognise this button?

I found it in an old area that was a healing springs resort from around the 1860's to 1900. It's written that there were Civil War reunions held there. I don't know anything about buttons. It's probably a coat button from Sears! It's about the size of a quarter. Thanks.

I played with my 12 incher today. I think I'm hooked :super:

My son thought he lost his cell phone by our pond. It's flat covered with leaves and the grass is pretty tall. So there sat my big 9x12 inch Ace coil. All curled up in the corner of the room. Begging to hunt. To be honest I haven't hunted with it at all really. I use the 6x9 for about...

For newbies. Ace 250 tip. :detecting:

If your running in the coin mode accept notch #3. This will give you a better beep on iffy nickels. Plus give you maybe (not scientific) a 25% more chance at a gold ring. In trashy sites or when I don't have much time I run my custom mode. That is simply the coin mode plus #3 notch or what I...
