Good for you man. 9" or 11" coil?

Very Funny XP Deus II Video

A little bit of levity is good for the soul.

I got The XP Deus 2 Today

I'll give you $500 for it Robert. Just kidding of course. Yeah I hear you. Still waiting for mine. I ordered it with the 9" coil back in December. I do like my 11" coil on my D1 but like you I use the 9" most of the time.

    1st hunt with the D2

Good work Bonepicker. That is why I ordered the D2. Breath some life into some of my worn out sites. Still waiting on mine though.

    Excel spreadsheet for metal detecting

I set up an Access database as it was easier to add pics. I really wish I had started tracking my finds in the beginning of my detecting days.

    Deus 2 arrives!

Good for you Joe. Still waiting for mine.

Have you got your Deus 2

30 inches of snow here today. But I still want my Deus II now! The US market for XP is small compared to other areas of the globe. Though it goes against our nature, us Americans just have to be patient.....

    waiting for Deus II

My birthday was in December.....still waiting patiently (for now) for my belated birthday gift from XP. ;) Relicmeister, I love that XP backpack. I've heard a few folks complain about it having too many pockets. But never enough pockets for me. My only complaint is I wish the buckles on the...

Should this be a concern to Dues 2 owners

Coming from a Deus I, I am not worried at all about syncing with the Deus II. However I do see your point about some folks being hesitant to buy a used Deus II if it has no warranty.

Faraday shielding of xp deus coil

I suppose in theory it would work. But I am curious as to why do you need the controller NOT to talk to the coil just because you are working on it?

Deus II 9" or 11" coil

I ordered the 9". I use my 9 inch coils more that my 11" coils in the wooded cellar hole sites that I hunt. I am looking for maximum target separation.

Thousands coming to the USA soon.....

"Soon" just isn't soon enough !;)

    CURIOUS: Relic Hunters and 'Iron'.

All of the above. I can usually tell when my coil is over iron but the one that drives me nuts is the deep kettle fragments. They do sound good. Half the time I know it is a deep kettle fragment, but I have to dig it anyway.

Folks, there was/is the DEUS and now the DEUS II.

Just take a deep breath Calabash, ignore the static, and keep posting those informative videos of the new XP machine. I don't want to see you kicked off another forum ! ;)

Full Tones vs Pitch - Calabash Digger

In my humble opinion.....while each tonal mode may offer different types of tonal clues......in the end I really don't think it matters all that much which tonal mode you use. What is REALLY important is that you become an expert in what ever tonal mode you choose. Over the years I have used all...

***Preferred Deep Relic Program with Deus***

Yeah you definitely want to use more than one frequency if you really want to be thorough. The Deus is a button killer in any frequency but at those higher frequencies those very small cuff buttons will start to pop. Even with the Deus if you just hunt with one frequency or just in one mode...

***Preferred Deep Relic Program with Deus***

Sounds like you and the Deus are working well together. I haven't seen a substantially noticeable difference in depth between the Deep and Fast base filters. I am sure there is some in certain conditions. For me, I see the biggest impact in depth is with Reactivity. I've had deep faint good...

What test or feature would you like me to video on the Deus 2 first?

Calabash, I would like to know if it is any better than the Deus in thick iron.

Someone stole my Deus remote and WS5 headphones.

That is a bummer. Likely a local turd. Maybe the folks clearing the site know who he is.
