    White's Spectrum XLT and Bullets

Relic program, turn on "Mixed mode" for the depth your going to need. Bullets will come in high tone and VDI #'s will roughly fall around the caliber of the bullet, Example ; a standard 58cal 3 ring will register 57-59, and a 44 Colt usually comes in at 44 -45. Though the deep bullets (12" or...

    Should I even complain ?

I have put my Garrett submersible headphones through much wear and tear over the years river detecting and they continue to perform well, maintenance free. They have outlasted all the headphones I've ever owned problem free. That being said, they also rank as the most uncomfortable headphones...

    My pin pointer is haunted...

Yeah mine has been doing this for a while now, and I have to give it a lil smack on the side to shut it off.

I found this blade metal detecting a civil war camp, does anyone know if this could be time period? I found it about 6 inches in the ground.

It just has that weathered look. I see your coil in the pic and also assume its as found, no dirt, not much rust, with visible pitting. Looks like one of those horseshoes I find hanging on tree branches.

Another brass piece. Not sure what.

Thinking maybe a stove foot/leg or something of the like since its so heavy duty.

    Artillery related?

James fuze cap has more of a point to it than yours. I was thinking the CS West Point type. #13 is the West Point and 14 the James.

    Artillery related?

Nice, top to a Confederate percussion fuze.

    Which coil is deeper on a dime, 11x13 x35 or 11x11 x35

With that said, I'd recommend the 13". Great depth, and even works well in trash. Kinda got caught with my pants down couple weeks back having the 13 on the ORX field hunting relics when I stumbled into a colonial site in the tree line and into the woods. Stayed in Coin Deep and listened to all...

Best way to make MXT300 into a wireless setup?

The best way, right here. Originally made by Deteknix, now Quest, made specifically for metal detectors. Great headphones I've been using for a few years now on a couple of my detectors. Charge lasts for a full day of detecting with no target response delay.

    Wrap around

Long technical story short, don't reject +95. In my 30 years of use with the White's Spectrums, a lot of my best and deepest finds VDI'd at +95 with a medium threshold tone. Trick is, if you can get a repeatable tone in pinpoint mode from a +95, dig it ! If the target tone disappears or...

    Need help with this piece...

These pics show the piece much more clearly now, which removed my thoughts on it being a pommel. Stumped as you now ?

3rd trip to the old house....

Nice hunt, believe the brass mystery item is a sword pommel.

    Its Spring Trime !!

Pulled this 3 cent'r from a CW site yesterday. Just swinging my way back to the truck in an area I had already grid every which way to Sunday having made a nice find there in the past, and the ORX sniffed out this lil beauty.

    ORX

9" round HF coil gets my vote, I hunt for the same and really like using the medium freq. My secondary coil is the 13" X35 on sites where the signals aren't too busy, impressive depth with this one.
