Fresh waters warming up. On countless lakes the Party Boats are tieing up to frolic in the shallows. Check out under any swing ropes. Remember nothing seperates Treasure from the Flesh better than Lotion, Water and Alcohol. The waters is where it's at. Also many things have...

    The elusive silver quarters.

Good queston Muddly. Even in my Clad sites the first to go are the Quarters. Leaving the deeper dimes and nickels. I believe because they make the best sounding and strongest targets for most machines. I guess in the days of Silver a quarter was proberly worth about 50 cents in todays...

First hunt with the 8 inch coil on the AQ

So I run into something like this from time to time. Plenty of evidence of stuff cast off by human traffic. But hardly a sigh of coins. A lot of those finds seem to been around for a while. First thing jumps into my mind is"this place been hunted" But lead usually gives off a nice...

A hunt with the Tarsacci with 12" coil

This old (70's) Elementary field rarely gets a fresh drop. I been hitting it up pretty good last few years. Found a few silver rings, a Silver Kennedy, 810 coins but no Gold anything. Not to forget my ample share of beaver tailed tabs, and can slaw. Have hunted it with The AT Pro...

Could be off a Old Time ladys shoe heel

Bingo Mark, just found the story. Story goes that in the Civil war era, women of (The Night) had these on their shoes so they could be identified by the Troops or who ever. The streets being dirt back then made for easy tracking. Bit of history. Kinda wonder about this Ladys story.

Could be off a Old Time ladys shoe heel

Dug today around deep shortstop old little league field. I remember my dad wearing plates nailed on his boots. Think I had them too. But this could be used for Tap Dancing too I think.

    Nothing at St Augustine Beach

Planing a successful weekend at the beach is surely a crap shoot. A little erosion can appear to come and go in a few hours. A sandbar protecting a good hole can disappear over night. Smart local hunters can be there when these openings happen. But, when the beaches are Packed during...

Penny shortage. At least in my area

Last couple of times I or my wife went to cash in some penny rolls. The tellers asked if we had any more to bring in cause they are always short. One teller actually held a transaction open for my wife to run out to her car to get a roll. Now the bank wasn't busy but still. Couple things...
