    XP Deus 2 Depth Concern

    I found a war nickel about 10" deep in my trashy front yard. It was in one of those "hunted out" sections. It's not a penny, but I hope this helps. I'd probably ran an MXT, an 800, and a Deus I over this spot and missed it, or heard it as iron among the roofing nails and rusted bits.

    I did a similar thing, but I tied a piece of Paracord around the shaft and ran that through the lanyard that XP provides. I liked the idea of a neat hole in the mount, but I lacked confidence in my ability to make it look as good as the one posted above. Foiled, you do good work! Your plugs...

    Deus 2 Update Troubleshooting

    I tried both the 2.0 and the 3.0 ports. I'm an old school "Brute Forcer", so there were lots of restarts, shutdowns, updates, downloads, and re-downloads in the process. Then I remembered I had the old laptop.... 🤣🤣🤣 --Matt

    Xp shaft

    Anything like a spray lube will attract the dirt. I'd use some PTFE spray if I was going to do it. Goes on wet and dries to a white powder. Same for the dielectric grease, it'll pick up the dirt pretty good. I'd just clean the contacts with a q-tip and contact cleaner or rubbing alcohol. --Matt

    I downloaded it again with the same results. Maybe the Kid-proofing software doesn't like the updater, even though I turned it off. Anyhow, got the old laptop out and the updater worked just like in the videos. Thanks for the help! --Matt

    That's how I was doing it, I think it may be some problems with the PC I'm using. That's the only thing I can think of. It seems to be working for everyone.... Anybody else have any ideas? --Matt

    Beware of the XP update.

    I tried to do the update, but it wouldn't see the remote when I plugged it in. The USB port is good, and the computer sees the other things plugged in there. The update software just won't start the update. I thought I saw an update troubleshooting thread somewhere, but I couldn't find it...

    Quick Release Tassel

    XP DEUS Headphones?

    I use the puck with the 3.5mm headphone adapter. The sound on a good pair of earbuds is really good, and it blocks the wind noise at the beach. That and I can wear my ultra stylish "dad hat" to keep the sun off my melon. --Matt
