    I can confirm after talking to purchaser of VX5 who has upgradded to VX7. VX7 is infected as well. Video will be posted soon. I’ll post here. Both multi freq and single freq ops affected,

    Sounds good John. They better be working on a fix for VX5 as well. And perhaps VX7.. This gent may upgrade this VX5 to VX7 and try it and see if it’s infected too. Here’s new VX5 unit right out of the box today.

    Here’s video showing VX9 with latest 9.08 version done this morning by YouTube poster IFFY SIGNALS. Machine was reset in camera too btw. John you may decide to send this to Garrett as well.

    The detector don’t lose the settings- per se. Only relic and goldfield programs affected it seems. If user is not using one of the those no worries. If a person is using gold field or relic program. They need their machine at turn on to be in either gold field or relic program. User can...
