    V3X DEPTH

The VX3 is a "V" and will perform well. Telling you it will punch to 12" inches in your spot would be conjecture only as all dirt is not the same. (I'd find someone with a "V" close to you and check it out if you can.) The machine you have now (Checked your postings.) should do better than a few...

    The V3i plunge

The big thing guys is to realize you already know the V3i more than you realize. So many of the concepts and adjustments are the same. Stick with the controls that are on the DFX for starters....slowly wade in to the other stuff (your going to love it as you do) and your own learning speed is...

    V3i Book

Early on we all were expecting something to be coming down the pike, but nothing has happened that we are aware of yet. In the past some great books have been done for the DFX, XLT and others. These all did help immensely and much of what was taught has been absorbed, used, and expanded upon by...

    R & B Li-ion Batteries

It's very easy to get caught up in spending more on something that is overkill on "what it actually does for you". In the largest stretch of my imagination, I can't see a benefit over a similar set up as mine. 1. The system that came with the V3i. 2. An extra battery (NiMH) 3. Rechargeable...

    6x10 on v3i

The 6x10 is an important coil to have as it does run a little more stable because of it's smaller foot print. Loss of depth between the two isn't a concern for me with a jewelry hunt or in soil that has an undisturbed hard pan base of 8 inches or less (This covers a lot of the dirt out there.)...

    Auto Settings

I'd like to see an automated "EMI" button that cycles through the adjustments known to help, locks 'em in relation to a sample and goes three tone. (Never would need it now but would have helped early on.) Maybe another thing would be an inertial recognition coil combined with a "sweet zone" bar...

    COIL QUESTION:starwars:

Hey Tim. The real big advantage with the 5.3 is on bumpy ground, tree roots, and working rough hillsides. There are other advantages but these are the ones that having the round pattern saves a lot of body motion for me....on hillsides it is especially a big deal. I know your wanting a...

    Nice Silver on Video

Ha!! You found your silver!!! (I've had silver 22.5/wrap on small silver....not with that size of coin.) Gustavo was the star of the show...dang scene stealer!

Looking at getting a V3-looking for deep silver.

That last post was just to infer a respect for budget and still getting a machine that is a "big deal" (Not THE big "deal".) By the time you figure in a charging system at roughly $80.00, the DD10 coil swap for the 950 coaxial....both most likely an upgrade in due time, the long term savings is...

How to Set Up the V3i

Haven't watched the vid yet but that sure is a good thing to have done. Just showing those basics is going to have people grasping their machine much faster. Now to the vid....Great Job EMS!!! That was a bit more than I thought it would be and you explained things well! (Nice to have...

    V3i or AT Pro

The last two guys are dead on. If you see yourself wanting to do a lot of underwater first...an underwater unit. Selling two XLT's will put you there. I've never even seen the AT Pro, respect opinions of some solid users of it, and really appreciate it's niche. If you want to go top dog/ non-...

Looking at getting a V3-looking for deep silver.

Back when I started detecting coaxial and concentrics were mostly all there was. I was eleven years old, a lot was still in the"obvious" places, and features smeatures.....max sensitivities, ground balance and dig it all if it had a somewhat good signal. Iron and coins in the same hole was...

    V3 upgrade.

If you have headphones with the unit, send that too. New earmuffs. The "i" is nice.

    V3i or AT Pro

Two different worlds. Not trying to take anything away from the AT Pro but ya.....V3i will have you happy for a long time.
