After the storm........gold still in the pawn shops

J-man is back from FL and collecting clad. We hit a couple of our favorite spots after the storm, many targets to dig but the gold remains hiding. Found a big piece of bling that was once upon a time gold plated, and a nice .925 ring.

    Old stuff today

The J-man is still in the land of sunshine and only finding clad. I headed out this morning to catch low tide. It is very sanded in once again and the sand bars are soft and rippled. I found a couple of low spots and then hit the high tide mark, came out with a very old locket.

    A stroll with Lady Liberty.........

J-man left the wee hours of the morning for the land of sunshine and gold while I remain here in the cold country. Met up with PI-Joe and CraigGT AKA CraigPI. It was nice chatting with you guys. There was no gold to be found and I remained hunting after Joe and Craig left. I noticed that...

Foggy morning turned out golden bright.......

J-man and I got up way before the sun came up and headed out to the lane. It was kind of foggy with an overcast sky making conditions just right for RF interference with the Excal. I had a lot of falsing for the first 90 minutes until the sun started to burn the clouds away taking the RF...

Nitro of a different nature showed up..............

We had a nasty windstorm yesterday that took down power lines and trees. It shook up the sands as there were many targets today. I found a nice Opal set in silver pendant but the stone was broken (Opal's break very easily). J-man got a Nitro of a differenet nature in his scoop and on closer...

I'm off to start the new job today..........

Sticking great big needles into people's arms and sucking the blood out of them for 4 hours.........cleaning it and putting it back. Since I will be putting it back I guess that doesn't quite qualify me for a vampire. Ralph, I am still in the ghetto.........right at the end of the exit ramp...

On to bigger and better things.........

Haven't sold the dang house yet......this is getting stale! But, I was just recruited into a higher paying job with the ability to transfer to Florida when my house does sell. As most of you guys know, I am a registered nurse and returned only a year ago to my profession after 25 years of...

In search of gold nuggets in the river.......just wannabe diamonds

J-man and I headed to the lane early this morning only to be stopped in our tracks by traffic jams. Re-routed to the river banks in search of gold. No such luck!....just wannabe diamonds.

    Bill was a joke here........

The weathermen are full of @#$% with their hype about beach erosion.........more sand was deposited. Anyhow me and the J-man took off in search of the glitter of gold. All we got was quite a bit of clad and lots of junk. I got a wannabe gold ring that is nothing but JUNK!

    First hot day of summer.........

With all the rain we have had and it ruined the tomatoes, today was the first hot day that we have had all summer. We took off for the lane before the phone could ring calling me in for over time. Hubby found a couple of junk rings and I got a heavy weight .925.

    Nice day in the lane

J-man and I headed out before the phone could ring on my day off calling me into work. It was hot, the first real hot day of the summer, plenty of depositors with some of them headed into the water. J-man got a couple of junk rings and I hit a real heavy .925.

    Low tide and gold

Enuff with the overtime, hubby and I took off before the phone could ring and I would have to go into work. We hit the beach right after high tide and worked the dry sand for a while, collected some clad and silver pieces. When the tide was finally way out we then hit the wet sand and water...

J-man and I headed out today before the phone could ring and I would have had to go in for overtime at work. It was a beautiful day full of sunshine. We arrived just after high tide and worked the dry sand for a while until the tide was way out there. We collected some clad and silver in the...

    Lake hunt with many targets...........

With all the foul clouds that we have been having lately we decided to hit upon a lake instead of the lane. 28 days and 22 of them have had rain. There were many targets to hit upon and the J-man got 7 cars out of one hole. No jewelry but it was fun anyhow.

Lake hunt instead of the lane today..........

Too many days of rain up here in CT........out of 28 days we have had 22 days with rain. So instead of heading to the lane we decided to hit a local lake hoping to get some time in between the foul clouds. There were many targets but no jewelry to be found. J-man hit upon 7 cars in one hole.
