J-man hit the lane Monday and landed a huge NITRO and a small very old gold ring. I went today and found a very nice 14K ticket and a ring that has to be determined yet. Very windy......had difficulty walking in the water with small craft warnings up today. Here's a spin down the windy lane...

J-man took the Pirate out again today for a spin.......It performed well again. He found a silver earing with rhinestones and in need of cleaning, also a gold plate medallion with the Taj Mahal on it. I found what I thought was a gold colored pull tab......closer inspection proved to be 14k...

J-man got one of those new Detector Pro Pirates. Took it out for it's first run today, it performed well. Discriminates out iron, comes in loud and clear on clad and gold plated ring.........Nitro.........depth about 8 inches. Nice inexpensive machine for a backup or company to use. Here we...

Weather is still good in Connecticut......J-man and I headed for a spin down the lane........yield 10k.

A brisk wind was blowing but it was refreshing after all the hot and humid weather we had. J-man took his PI while I had my Excal and went for a spin down the lane. J-man landed a 10k gold earing and usual PI junk while I got only a junk earing and clad. We both got cars. Here is a spin down...

Very warm today in Connecticut....high 80's......unusual for this time of year. J-man took off early from work with 2 detectors in hand. Strikes gold......small but 14K with a garnet or rubylite stone and tiny diamonds so small that they must be real!! Here's a spin down the lane with the J-man...

It was a nice warm fall afternoon, hubby and I paid a visit to the lane Sunday afternoon. I found 3 rings and he ended up getting skunked!!.....he refused to speak to me all the way home. One of the rings I thought was silver but seemed to heavy........I put it to the test and 18K showed...

    Took off from work early.............:cam:

Left the J-man to mind the store. It was 90* inland today and a nice day for the lane. Found mostly clad and 1 ring with a lot of crud on it. I tried cleaning it just to be able to post it, but it needs much more cleaning just to determine what it is. Here's a stroll down the lane Connecticut style

    I got surprised tonight...............:cam:

I was cleaning the rings I found this weekend and thought I had either a stainless steel or silver ring. It was in the muck for a long time and had a lot of build up on it. As I cleaned it, it looked less and less like stainless and to heavy for silver. Looking closely it was hand crafted and...

This is a first for me!!..................

A young man called my shop asking if he could order a flower arrangement for his girl friend. He then told me that he had a special vase to put the flowers in. So thinking that it was a nice crystal vase of some sorts, I told him to bring it in and I would fill it full of flowers This is what...

Among the stones 2 hearts of gold were found..............:cam:

The threat of storms loomed all day but we decided to head out to a beach that we rarely visit. The rocks and stones there make it a very difficult dig even with the heavy duty Travis scoop. I did manage a nice 14K ring with 2 hearts on it. Not many depositors today but it was still nice and...

    Windy but nice today...........produced 1 gold.....:cam:

Beautiful weekend just like the weatherman promised. It was windy today and set up a chop on Long Island Sound that can give a person a real beating. Water hunting was both tiring and difficult today.......the waves are short and very close together, you do not get a breather or break...

    Heimlicke Maneuver.........

Subject: Heimlicke Maneuver Never choke in a restaurant, in the South. Two hillbillies walk into a bar. While having a shot of whisky, they talk about their moonshine operation. Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough. After a minute or so, it...

    Golden Sunday in the lane.............:cam:

We arrived shortly before low tide........nice morning but overcast, the weatherman said the rain would stay south of us. Got a nice 14K man's ring with a red stone that tested as Topaz. Also a gold bracelett that I mangled and tried to straighten out. J-man used his Surf PI Pro and his...
