    Home town token

I thought for sure I had a big silver in the hole then this token from my home town pops out and what a cool token to find. Just as good as big silver:rolleyes:? That's debatable but I sure am glad I found it.

    Sterling pocket watch front

The heat and humidity have been close to unbearable here lately but I got out with a friend this morning while it was still tolerable. Only three clad coins between us but I did manage a nice piece of silver.

    3 piece Chinese coin

Interesting hunt this morning. I hit the park, as usual, found a no date buff then a pre-broken chinese coin ( my first ) and about 15 feet from the car I got a rock solid half dollar signal which turned out to be a "57 roosie. You better believe I rechecked the hole. HH

    #2 on my wish list...

Sure feels good to get this monkey off my back. It was about 9 inches down in the freshly moistened ground, thanks to yesterday's day-long rain. HH, Steve in PA

    Do you believe in karma?

Last week I dug a "54 Rosie in the park and on my way out I bumped into a friend who I met in the park a couple years ago. We haven't even exchanged names yet but he's always fascinated with any finds I show him so I gave him the silver dime and that was a first for me. Today I went back to see...

I rescued a king in the park today. :yo:

Last year I found a 1778 1 reale in the park and this morning I found this one. About 9 or 10", the tone wasn't there and neither were the values but there was no nulling so I dug. Sure am glad I did.

    Golf whatzit

Thinner than a coin, about the size of a quarter, sounds like aluminum when dropped, Gave a mid range audio signal. I'm guessing a watch back or button front??? The back doesn't really show anything except the depression of the strike on the front. Any ideas?

    Late January finds

This weather is insane. In my mind the new season starts in the spring but I may have to rethink that because winter here in PA doesn't look like it's going to amount to much. I was on a gold mission but struck out again, at least I got a few shiners for the effort. HH, Steve

    Stunning Merc

I had no idea it was in such good condition till I got home. This has to be pushing XF, too bad it's a common date.

A little gold from the park

Does the GF mean gold plated or something else?

So much for calling it a day...

Hi, my name is Steve and I'm a detectaholic. I need help  I can't stop myself. I found this within 15 feet of where I found the last one.

squeaked one more deepie out of the park.

Frigid temps are imminent and I'm just about spent myself. I think I'm gonna call it a day. 77 silver coins this year, what a long, strange trip it's been. HH, Steve in PA

    Still no trifecta

but it wasn't for lack of trying. I grabbed my spare digger, which is also broken, and headed back out. I couldn't find the elusive roosie but it was my first five silver day.

    Transformed my clad....

into something worthwhile [attachment 217172 IMG_4515.JPG][attachment 217173 IMG_4516.JPG] Until I'm fortunate enough to dig a bust silver, if I'm ever that fortunate, buying one with a year's worth of dirt money will have to be my next best thing. $85, which I thought was a pretty fair price.

    I tried for a trifecta....I really did

[attachment 217170 IMG_4514.JPG] But this kinda squashed that idea [attachment 217171 IMG_4517.JPG]

    A tale of three roosies

It was cold out this morning and there was a light frost on the grass at the park which made it an ideal time to pace off an area I've not had much luck in. You can see exactly where you've been with your coil so you don't miss any ground and you don't go over the same ground twice. I was hoping...

I met 3 merry widows in the park this morning...

[attachment 216039 IMG_4509.JPG] and the day just kept getting better after that. I started working an area that I had not previously pummeled and started finding a lot of wheaters. My first silver was the rosie which put me at 50 total silvers from the park so I was already a happy camper then...

Quick hunt on a cold morning

The sun seems to be setting on the season here in the East, at least for the fair weather diggers like me but I did manage another merc this morning. My fingers were tingling cold so I didn't spend a lot of time trying to find another.
