    First silver of the year

A very worn St. Christopher's pendant. It looks like it was carried for many years and probably meant alot to some one.

    Coin or Token ???

Can anyone I.D. this? It's a little smaller in diameter than a quarter, it has a fluted edge like a coin but the reverse is not upside down when it's turned over horizontaly. I can not make any sense of the writing on it. I pulled this from some change because the edge looks like that of a...

    Merc in the park

I found a nice '42 merc in the park today along with a few pieces of war torn clad. Pic's a little blurry, hard to judge depth of field on the LCD screen. I was hoping for one more silver coin this year and I've found it, problem is......now I'm hoping for one more still. I guess it never ends.

    Silver spoon ring

A first for me. This is as close as I have come to finding silver cutlery. It was about four inches deep with the 2500. There's a mark on the stem but it's unreadable.

    Saint Mary's box

This doesn't look that old but was still a neat find. It's about 1.75" X 2" and inside the top is a picture of the blessed mother herself. The bottom has a padded lining so I'm guessing this would have housed a cross or medalion. It was closed and empty when I dug it.:rage:

Nice sterling bracelet in the park.

Found this in the park this morning. Anyone recognize the maker's mark? Also found a neat button. It's very plain, no designs or markings but the shank might suggest that it's old school.

Silver quarter in a wierd way.

When my oldest daughter, who is 19 now, was 5 or 6 years old we bought her a gumball machine for Christmas. After only a few fillings the keys to it mysteriously went missing. We've been wanting to clean it out and store it for quite a while now so I tried to pick the lock with whatever I could...
