    Where did the CLASSIFIEDS go?

I want to sell my GTP 1350 so I can fund an AT Pro. So there are no classifieds anymore with which to do it? What happened?

What are all these "Issues" with the AT PRO?

I'm prepping to get one of the new AT Pro detectors. I expect to sell my GTP 1350, a guitar or two and maybe even my first born child to obtain it, if needs be. But, before I do, just what are all these "issues" I keep hearing about. - Some people are fretting over the detector leaking - then...

    Out of the Hobby

I was thinking about this forum today - I havent been on in a while. Not since last years 3 rd run-in with the authorirites, anyway. What is going on with the Garrett-ites? Something wrong with Bill??

    FREE Golden manual and Raincover

I have a Golden Umax manual and a rain cover for any of the uMax size control boxes. I dont need them anymore, as I dont have a Tesoro and probably wont get another, so these can go to someone who can use them. Just pay $5 for the shipping and they're yours. First to email me gets 'em.

    You CANT do THAT Here!!

I had a little time between appointments today, so I jotted on over ot the local high school. This site was once a former plantation home, then a school was built there in the early 1950

    F70 and the Omega 8000

I was wondering after looking over the 8000, does it offer anything beyond the F70? It seems to be an F70 Lite from where I sit.

    Sand lot diggin

found a little time today in the middle of too much work, moving to a new house and all the other things everyday life piles up. I went to the little school behind my house for about an hour and managed a couple of bucks in clad and the usual school junk. It was awesome.

    How bad is the F75??

With all the talk of the LTD, how bad is life going to be for this poor old detectorist if I get an F75?

Why do we call detectors "machines?"

Its a small thing, I know, and it really doesnt matter. But they are not machines at all - they are electronic instruments. SO I wonder where the term came to be applied?

    Golden comes Home

Sent my used Golden uMax in for repair 18 days ago. It came back today, fixed and ready to go. Rusty Henry included a personal note, new hardware, and a new battery door. Tesoro doesnt have to do this - their warranty says so. But I asked James Gifford about it once. He said its just what they...

    GTP 1350 Eliminates the Competition!

Hey everybody! It's been awhile since I've been around, and I thought you all would find today's tests interesting. I pitted my GTP 1350 against a Whites Classic ID and Tesoro Golden uMax. I aim to sell at least one detector this season, so I'm testing them against each other to determine the...

Whites CLASSIC ID w/ Bill Crabtree Perfomance Ehancements

I purchased a nice "Mr. Bill" Classic ID last season. Nice detector, all around. It is in good shape overall, as I've used a rain/dust cover on it since I got it. It has the 8" Pro Scan coil with bed liner coating on the bottom. This is one of those situations where I just have more...

    GTP 1350 with SNIPER

Put the sniper on,Crossfire II, and gave it a test this eve. It hits pretty well, 6" or so on coins at 75% SENS. The ID is dead on and even he depth far off. Well see how it does in the field.

    LOVE the F70 but I HATE - -

    - - the whole tippin over thing when you set it down. What were they thinking? Does anyone make a functional stand that works with an environmental cover AND doesn't look like it was cobbled together off of a plumbers truck?

GTP 1350 and the Draw'd Down Pond - Redux

I moseyed on over to the drained lake again, today. I wont be able to do any detecting until next weekend, and I have to lay kitchen tile at some point. So I figured I better hit it while I can. No gold jewelery or CW belt buckles turned up, but I was amazed at the stuff the "horde of other...

Where Pulltabs Hit on the 1350

There has been a lot of talk lately on gold rings vs. pulltabs, etc., here on the Garrett forum. So, I grabbed up a handful of tabs from my junk box the other day and tested them for TID on the GTP 1350. Here are the results: A Rogues Gallery Pry Tabs (Square, Oblong, etc.) [attachment 144443...

GTP 1350 and the Draw'ed Down Pond

I found out this morning that they lowered the water down at the local lake, for annual maintenance. Of course, I learned this 2 weeks after the draw down began, so I was late as usual. It's the price you pay for having a job, I guess. I told Lori about it and suggested that I ought to check it...

Of Shotguns and Dogs - A Different Post

Most of the time we don't go in search of iron or steel items. Sometimes, though, it is not only necessary, but desirable. A friend of mine, Fred, got in touch with me the other day to ask a favor. "Dave, he says, " Would you bring one of your detectors over to my house this weekend?" "Sure...

    Golden uMax Gets The Assist

Most of the time we don't go in search of iron or steel items. Sometimes, though, it is not only necessary, but desirable. A friend of mine, Fred, got ahold of me the other day to ask a favor. "Dave, he says, " Would you bring one of your detectors over to my house this weekend?" "Sure, Fred...

GTP 1350 goes to school =

Its Saturday and here in Redneckville, that means trash dumpin' day! I had some bags and some boxes and 3 big old punkins from Halloween, all of which needed "re-homing" to the recycling center. AS luck would have it, there is a school near the dump center, which required some cleaning off with...
