    Question about Bullseye pinpointer

A while back there were some issues with the Whites Bullseye pinpointer. Has that been resolved? Is anyone Whites pinpointer? I know a lot of people are using Garretts Pro-pointer but just how reliable is The bullseye? Robert2300

A great Sundays hunt with the Ace 350

Traded up to Garretts Ace 350. Nice hunt. Picked up a well worn Liberty Half Dollar. No date on it as it too is worn off, but silver is always nice. Robert2300

Ace 350 and a Great Sunday Hunt...before the snow set in!

Yesterdays Sunday's hunt was great. Had a nice surprise waiting for me at about 7 to 8 inches deep. It was a well worn Liberty Half Dollar. The date was worn away and many of the other details were also worn but you can clearly see it's a half dollar. Nice surprise considering I've been over...

    A question please

What is the scoop on the Pirate detectors, specifically the Wader. Has anyone used them? The only thing I see is that they are VLF machines at just above 2kHz. They have one PI machine and it appears to have been discontinued for a while. Robert2300

    Gold Bug 2 question...

Is it the Gold Bug 2 that operates at 70kHz for nugget hunting? If so can some one please explain the practical advantage of this over a machine operating at 15kHz... 18kHz and 50kHz. Also does Gold Bug 2 have auto ground balance? Thanks Robert2300

TO COLD TO DETECT? Think again.

For many people it is too cold to detect. The batteries in the Ace will die in a matter of an hour or less, but with a simple method of using a hand warmer and a sock, you can spend all day bundled up and detecting. The batteires will maintain their charge. The hand warmer will usually last 8 to...

    Pro Pinpointer...have you noticed.....?

I've had my Pro Pinpinter a couple three years now. Great instrument, but as of late I have noticed that when I probe the hole and press to hard, the pointer wants to go off just a little. Makes a faint sound . It never used to do that. Has anyone noticed this about theirs. It's not really a...

    AT Gold vs GOLD

I am curious about the AT Pro Prospecting mode vs the At Gold. Anyone use the Pro's prospecting feature and what were the results? Robert2300

    AT-GOLD

I have read on occasion that while the AT Gold is a knock out on finding gold nuggets (prospecting) it does have some difficulties in some mineralized ground. I assume the ground must be really hot to give it trouble. Anyone using the AT GOLD have information about this? Thanks Robert

Has anyone prospected up in Canada?

I was on Google Maps looking north of Hudson Bay , at hte North West Passages. The land looks very red, perhaps gold bearing country. I wonder if anyone has prospected there or even if prospecting with a metal detector is allowed. Robert

I am thinking about taking a trip out of the country down under and taking my detector. I have not been on an air flight since 1989. Things have change a lot! I went looking for a Samsonite case and found NOTHING HAS LOCKS ON them anmore. HOW do you protect your detector from theft under these...
