    I don't think the piece was at all serious. They think it is a silly hobby and showed it that way. I suppose if I made several million a year, a few hundred dollars from a hobby wouldn't mean much to me either. And Rob is right about their technique. They didn't even try to overlap their swings...

    Man, that IS alot of rings. I have one park where I have found alot of silver coins. I drew a rough sketch of the park and placed an x for every silver I found.     What kind of gloves do you all use?

    Not one for gloves really, but I do like knee pads. You never know when you may want to stop somewhere on the way home from a hunt..... gas station, restaurant, store. All have restrooms where you can wash your hands, but the knee pads help you keep your pants clean. I try to look halfway...

    Is it the machine or me? analyze mode

    Swing the coil away from the suspected target, switch to analyze mode, wait for the change in threshold, then slowly swing back over the target a couple times. Personally, I don't care for the analyze mode much, and have always thought the probability percentages were very low.

    Very nice finds sir. but your Merc isn't a 1913. Not sure if you made a typo or if it's hard to see, but I would look again, it could be a really attractive date. If I hunted 10 minutes, and found two silvers, I would be parking a camper back there. :beers: Hope you find many more.
