    A Junky signal

Very good to know Larry. I've always wondered how much silver it would take to overload a detector? My experience has always been an overload is big iron, but I've always wondered about the zinc lidded mason jar full of silver dollars. The 3 large round items are all very interesting. What does...

    Quincy,ILL-Parks

Ron, I don't know how much help this will be but a couple of years ago I met a guy who got permission from WIU in Macomb to hunt on the University's property. At that time they (WIU) were trying to buy a piece of land in that area called Visnue (?). It was a Health spa/resort around 1910-1930...

    Park land UK

Well done sniffer:thumbup: 13 coins and a ring in an hour is impressive from a well hunted park. Your coinage is very colorful, large and thick compared to what we have in the states. Enjoyed your picture.

    Success under the knife:super:

Good to hear Ron. I'll see you at the club hunt in two weeks. I'll bring my (reale) pirate treasure and compare it to yours. Take care.

    Real find?

Hey Ron, I have one just like it. Even the bumps along the side of it are the same. I was told it was probably a souvenir from a pirate themed tourist attraction. You up for a hunt Thursday?

    Steep learning curve for V3

Hey Doc, I had similar problems with mine at first. I really wanted to wrap it around a tree, but I kept thinking that the machine was to expensive for that. I feel that the programs in the V3 are to hot for highly mineralized soil. I tried coins, hi-pro, and deep silver, nothing worked. I used...

V3 finds a nice pocket spill

Impressive!!! :surprised: Did that put a smile on your face?

    Canadian coins

I'll second that. My deepest coin so far is a Canadian nickel at 7 inches.

    Bottle Cap VDI's

Isn't a swallower target also louder in pinpoint mode? I have been digging everything also. I figure it is the only way to confirm my suspicions of what the target is. I haven't been checking the analyze screen 100% of the time because I have found that alot of promising looking screens turn...

    Bottle Cap VDI's

I have to agree with jer4004. Bottle caps VDI at 83 like a quarter but run up to 91 or 92. The main screen will show three green bars about 1/4" wide. the last 1/32" (the right side of it) is in red on one or two of these green bars. I started with BCR at 0 and moved it up a point or two each...

    Garrett Pro-Pointer and the V3 ...

You might try putting your V on the 6 block screen, while using the handheld pinpointer.

    D2 Coil

Yazoo I would like to hear about this program that your playing with. A nickel at seven inches has been my best and air tests 8 inches with a quarter is tops for me. Thanks in advance.

    HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE

16 days is nothing. I waited 29. Actually I could of probably gotten it on day 28 if I wanted to blow off work. Messed with it a little Saturday, when I got it. Rain or work has kept me away from it since. Hope to play with it Thursday. So the jury is still out for me too.

    Back ordered

I heard that several hundred V3's are back ordered. Is this because of the need to change the name on the housing or because of the high demand?

    Name change

A week or ten days ago I typed in Vision metal detector on ebay. Several cheap units were being offered. They weren't what I was looking for so I didn't pay any attention to who makes them. You would think that a manufacturer would know the names of the competitions products. I gotta go, my...
