Gold Number 22 since Jan - Pure Power of the ATX!

Hi Guys...back to the same beach tonight, slowing working my way up the beach. 1 hour hunt at 8pm - 9pm.... 1st half hour was with the CTX 3030, maybe 2 or 3 targets, quite a but of blanking due to iron (you can hear the threshold drop). CTX was in open screen, manual sensitivity 27. Dug a...

Gold and Platinum (20 and 21) for the atx

Had a quick hunt today after work on the wet sand on a beach I have been to quite a lot! Last few hunts proved hopeless, and today was getting really frustrated, having found a ton of junk, and a really worn penny - albeit only there for 1 hour! (With the ATX you just have to dig in the right...

6 days in Rarotonga with the CTX and ATX, 6 rings

Heading home on the bus from the airport and wanted to tap out an update on the trip and initial thoughts having used both machines in the island waters for a few days! The trip was overall pretty hard - not that many targets. A friend of mine, who normally 'cleans up' with a whites dual field...

Treasure Hunting Trip - Bring me Luck ATX!

Hi Guys well I have had two weeks practice (few siver rings and 4 gold rings (including a diamond ring) here in Auckland since receiving the ATX. Have learned the machine and learned to listen to the really deep, repeatable signals. Learned about the horrible shaft / grit issue design and...

14 Gold Since January (now 5 with ATX)

Took the machine out again last night 8 30pm -9 30pm, I find hunting at night can be cool especially as you can concentrate on the deep faint targets. :goodnight: Last night yielded a very deep (4 big scoops) very very faint signal...so I dug anyway. 18ct female gold, sapphire and two...

Sanded in beach...Pull out the ATX!

Low tide was at 8pm last night so went for a 45 minute hunt. Chose to concentrate on deep repeatable signals and 3rd target was a 9ct mens ring. Easy 3 full scoops deep ( and then some). ATX strikes gold again! 4 gold this week! Getting more impressed.

    Silver...Silver...Silver and that #$#$dy shaft/cams

Hi guys I have had a few quiet days at work so managed to get in the saltwater 3 more times...at three more locations. No gold this few days...just a silver 1915 coin, silver ring, and a nice silver bracelet. (Heaps of lead sinkers). The ATX can hit a coin sized object deep! The leds...

4 more rings today.... The ATX is not satisfied!

Awesome hunt today in the water here in New Zealand! I hunted on a beach with deep sand and some rocky areas. The grit was HORRIBLE in the atx shaft. Mainly trying to remove the shaft from the control box. What a nightmare! Hopefully as it wears in this will get easier! I hope Garrett...

question: ground balance or discrimination in saltwater

Hi guys. My ATX has just arrived in New Zealand! I am used to the ctx3030 and are looking for some advice from a water hunter in the states. 1) is it best to ground balance to saltwater or should we just use pulse delay / discrim? 2) if we do use ground balance to salt water do you do...
