Woo Hoo Proud new owner of an SE Pro!!

Thank you Christopher-Ohio!! Now I just need to get used to it sounding like a monkey playing a flute. Even after noise reject, if I run over sens of 11 it goes nuts. But, all of the other detectors I have ever tried in my yard did the same thing. Will be heading to some stable ground this...

    Any Ideas??

This was one of my first detecting finds a LONG time ago, and I have no clue what it is... It was found in LaGrange Tn, amongst some CW bullets including a .69 Minie. It appears to be some sort of hinged buckle, you can see the teeth on the top piece. HH Joe

    ? about ID #'s

I have an Explorer SE Pro on the way, and have been looking at the posts showing the Fe Co #'s used to id the targets (I realize they are different on the E-trac, and have been looking at Explorer data). My question is, were they obtained by air tests or recorded then dug? My other question is...

Hello, I am selling a Tesoro Tiger Shark in perfect working order with extras for $475, shipped priority mail to the lower 48. The extras include 10.5

    Single number readout?

Since I am coming from an Excal2, and looking for a new land machine to last me many years, and since it seems the Fe portion of the meter just became useless from listening to the posts here, would the Sov GT with Co meter be the right choice for me? I was really wanting a machine with a true...

Anyone with an MXT AND an Explorer SE??

I am thinking hard about a new machine. I have heard good things about both the MXT and the Explorer SE or Pro. Is there anyone on here that uses both and could steer me one direction or the other? I don't coin hunt much, I do more relic hunting and open field hunting than anything, and am...

I am curious about depth on the new machine

I am hearing a lot about being able to connect it to a PC, but what I haven't heard is if there is a depth increase, or better target id etc. It looks like a really nice machine, but I am waiting on a list of "upgrades" over the SE Pro. I can't wait to hear some folks that have access to both...

    ? about relic detectors

I have recently gotten bitten by the relic bug, and am looking for a top notch detector to hunt with. I have recently updated my underwater detector to an Excal2, so will be selling a Tigershark and also probably my GTP 1350. The Excal2 impresses me, so I was wondering what you relic guys think...

    1350 as a relic machine?

Is anyone using the 1350 as a relic machine? I have the opportunity to hunt a CW hospital site, and was wondering if this was an appropriate machine for the task. I have the 10 X 14DD and 4.5" coils in addition to the stock coil, and a Sun Ray probe. My concern is, I have never dug anything over...

    Destin Sunday

Well, I tried both sides of the sand bar, and gridded it HARD between the beach and the bar took me about 4 hours to cover an area 50 yards wide from ankle deep to almost neck deep. NADA!!!!! Lots of signals starting with tones and ending in iron nulls, I dug a few out of sheer boredom and got...

    Destin report Saturday

Hit the water around 7am, hunted till 8:30 and had ONE repeatable signal... a Corona cap. I have a feeling that all the sand that washed off the beach the other night is sitting out there in the waist deep water I was hunting in. Headed in for breakfast, but before I left the water I got a great...

    Destin report, Friday

Didn't even get to turn the machine on today. The water calmed down a bit later in the day, but the purple flag is out in full force, and so are the jellyfish. I hit 5 different dive shops today looking for a thin wetsuit, but all I have found is the short calf length ones. Why bother to only be...

    Destin report

Well, I finally made it to Destin again, this year with the Excal 2. So far not so good, I haven't even been able to turn it on yet due to the water conditions. Look at the pic and you will see that there are NO people in the water due to it being so rough, and it is full of jellyfish. Everyone...

    Got the Excal II wet..

Went to a local lake Sunday for about 4 hours with the new Excal II. I had a blast, I spent most of the time just comparing what I was hearing to what was written in CJC's book. Conclusion... I need a lot more practice :surrender: Never dug a cap, they were easy to tell by the way they would cut...

    Air tests ??

Do they mean ANYTHING?? I was playing around with a couple of detectors, and their various coils and here are the results. Garrett GTP 1350..................Coil..............4.5".......................7X10".................10X14".................Sensitivity at "default"...

10% IRID. PLAT?? Don't know where else to post.

A little background. I was going through some of my deceased (1990) mothers things and found her wedding ring (looking for targets to play with under the MD coil). It appeared white gold with 18 small diamonds. Three of them are chipped but a few fluoresce bluish under UV light. On closer...

    Excal or Infinium

I posted on the Garrett forum, and got no answer about the Infinium, so I will try here. I am looking for a new salt water machine since I had less than stellar luck with the Tiger Shark in salt water. I want a machine that is reasonably deep seeking, and easy to use. The Infinium has features I...

? for John-Edmonton and others about the Infinium

Hey, I am looking for a new water machine, a new fresh and SALT water machine. I am bouncing back and forth between the Excalibur and the Infinium. The Excal has iron rejection, but you can't change the coils or headphones, and that kind of bugs me. The $97 batteries bug me too. I want to know...

My week in Destin with the Tiger Shark

Well guys, I am back from a week in Destin. I metal detected, attempted SCUBA, went deep sea fishing, and ate like a little pig! The SCUBA thing didn
