    Year End Summary

thanks. I have found a few of those old amusement star tokens over the years. I always thought they were probably 1920s-1930s. Some are more personalized than others and have names. I took a 2nd look at this one yesterday and the ending numbers are 1913 so it's possible that could be the year.

    Old colonial home hunt video

That guy in the video introduction on the left looks like Terry Shannon. He used to come to our detecting club meetings many years ago as I believe he was originally from a nearby MN town. He entered some of his Treasure Coast Jewelry in our Find of the Month Jewelry category. We didn't have a...

Everything was pulled at public sites except a few coins that were found at my Parent's farm and a...

Great warmup yields Big Silver, Barber, Shield, Vs, Indians and Buffalos

thanks Rick. Yep, I have been going through my clad and junk 5-gallon pales the past few days. I ended up with about 1/2 gallon of clad coins to clean. I found another bonus war nickel & few wheat pennies in my clad. Also found an ornate cherub which I thought was melted metal until I cleaned...

Thanks Mark. Yes, that shield nickel really surprised me. I thought it was going to be a V until I saw the 5 which was a welcome sight. Dave

Great warmup yields Big Silver, Barber, Shield, Vs, Indians and Buffalos

Thanks Ted. I had to get down to Mid Iowa before ground was diggable. Most of the finds came from Southern Iowa. I was within 30 miles of the Missouri border. Ground was completely thawed in that area. Dave

here are a couple closer pics of that 1870 shield nickel right after I pulled it. Pretty worn but I was happy to get it. At least a 10-inch-deep signal.
