    thinking about picking up a used soverign for the beach-pro and con would be welcome

    I currently have a minelab xterra 50 and a whites xlt spectrum but from all I have read I would do much better on jewlery on the beach with a soverign. I am hoping to spend alot more time on the beach this summer. thanks for any input.

    Is there a new , improved environmental cover out for the xterras?

    Everytime I have to change batterys I ask myself why didnt they put somekind of velcro cover over the battery compartment that could just be peeled back without taking the coil wire loose and unplugging the headphones. Seems I read somewhere there was a new version out. Does anyone know for sure?
