    Killer B's on the GT.

I have done a search for this subject and the amount of headphone discussions is incredible. I am guilty myself for partaking in the discussion over the years. I just want to know if anyone currently is using Killer B headphones with their Sovereign GT. What do you think, do the tones sound...

Need advice from people who have disassembled their NIMH battery packs and put them back together.

OK so I broke the tabs on my NIMH battery pack for my Sovereign GT. So I took the sliding piece with the tabs from the alkaline pack to be put on the NIMH pack. I noticed that on the inside of the NIMH pack there was some type of silicone that acted as an adhesive to keep the pack closed. My...

:thumbup:Tell me about mixed mode please

I am researching a second machine. I was wondering if someone can tell me about the difference between mixed mode on the V3i and the Vx3. Are they the same type of mixed mode? And how exactly does mixed mode work? I think it is an all metal channel that gives ferrous tones in one ear and non...

question about the tabs on Sovereign GT battery packs.

I can kind of be obsessive compulsive about my detector. I noticed something today that I want to know if other people have noticed. The Rechargeable pack and the alkaline pack seem to have a flaw that "can" become a problem. You know the two tabs that you have to depress to put in and remove...

    Nice small silver.

Went to another spot that I have frequented before and pulled this 1888 Seated Dime. You got to love them small silvers. I must say that so far this is my 3rd inland hunt this year and I pulled more deeep silver out of pounded spots. The SEF coil on my Sovereign is red hot! Take Care HH Jason

12x10 SEF for the Sovereign Discontinued!?

Kellyco no longer has them listed. And the company that makes them no longer has the 12x10 listed? Thank God I got mine when I did. Perhaps one of you know if this is true or not. Thanks in advance HH Jason

    Sovereign GT = 1782 Spanish 2 Reale

Went to a spot I frequent often and decided to go off the beaten path . As soon as i got into the iron I started to slow down even more than I allready was going. The Reale was a sweet consistent whisper and as soon as my probe got near it the conductivity numbers started to rise even more...

Silent search with thresh hold, Iron mask off.

I thought I read somewhere that there are some tricks to use with the Sovereign GT that include hunting in Silent search while forcing a thresh hold. And what about iron mask off. Some say it allows a faster reset in between the nulling. In what situations should one explore these tricks. I...

    My tricked out Sovereign GT.

I finally have it to where I want it. Very well balanced now with the Plugger's custom straight rod. The probe box is in an ideal spot, and the Ron's 180 meter is very viewable. I am very happy and ready for the spring with my GT. Plus I have the old rod setup which now can be exclusively used...

Just curious if there is any word on Garrett coming out with a replacement for their GTI 2500? Thanks Jason

    Question about calibrating a meter.

I just got one of those awesome Ron's meters for my Sovereign GT. I have heard some people calibrate the meter to read 179 on a quarter and some people calibrate it for 180 ( the traditional way). What is the benefit for calibrating to 179 over 180? I just want some opinions as to what you guys...

Looking for a dealer that you guys can recommend for a lower Rod on the Sovereign GT pole assembly.

I need to get another fiberglass lower rod for my Sovereign GT. Can anyone recommend a forum sponsors that has them and at a good price. Thanks in advance Jason

I recently got my hands on a Ron's meter.

The meter is a great quality home made item and fit perfect on my Sovereign GT. The cables are good quality and spliced together very good with no quality issues at all. It was calibrated out of the box and right on the money when I set it up for an indoor air test with the Sunray s-8 and the...

Got out early this morning at the beach with my GT.

So I went to work yesterday for my 11pm to 7am shift. When I got to work I felt like a kid with a snow day as my Seargent informed me that I had the next couple days off according to schedule. LOL I never bothered to see if I got the days approved since we where so short staffed. Well I was not...

recent beach finds with the GT.

I just have not had much beach erosion and no Northeast Storms in my area. I could land hunt but I am programed to hit the beaches in the winter to look for spanish silver. Between the tons of tabs and aluminum trash I did manage a 1943 merc dime, A small silver ring, and an unknown large...
