    I started in 1978, I'm 54 now and new tech absolutely does a better job, deeper, better separation, ergonomics, lighter, better batteries screens etc. First off the comfort level of a machine will keep you swinging longer so right there is a way to find more with say a deus over a gti 2500...

    Why not? I've been detecting over 40 years so part of the fun now is trying the new tech. I may keep my deus long enough to do some comparison between the two. If the deus II is better for what I do I may just sell my used one.

    Yep sold my nox , simplex and still have my deus and ordered the deus II . Nox always felt flimsy til I spent alot more money on a carbon fiber shaft and lower rods. The control pod cracked so they replaced it under warranty, always worried about coil ears as they were flimsy, but never broke...

    Tried the 9 inch HF coil

    I just sold 3 deus coils and kept the 11" x35 . It separates just as good but gets better depth . Plus I beach hunt and wanted a little bigger coil to cover more ground.

    NOKTA MAKRO SMF LIVE LAUNCH

    This is literally what wife and I did but in Alabama. 15-20 min from beaches, higher ground, 40 min from Florida beaches and 1 hour from Mississippi beaches. Don't dirt hunt near as often anymore. We almost bought a home in South Carolina but somehow ended up here.
