    Stock & 10.5DD Coil Weights......

Ok, lets settle this thing about the 10.5DD coils being too heavy to use much. I took and weighed both the stock 9" and the 10.5DD coils, coil covers AND the lower rod. I think just because the 10.5 looks bigger, people believe that it is heavy. Stock 9" Coil Weighs 20 1/8 ounces 10.5 DD Coil...

    Another Weather Cover Tip..........:minelab:

Just trim the coil connector hole and take a lighter and sindge the cut edges to keep it fron fraying. Now you can remove the cover to change the batteries without unpluging your coil..................Mark

Cure For A Tight Weather/Head Cover

I saw in some posts about this problem. I took mine and turned it inside out and with a SHARP pair of sicssors, carefully cut the excess seam material off, just leave 1/8 of an inch extra CLOSE to the sewn seam. Do this and the cover will slip on and off easy. The pics are of the seams that you...

Well, I gotta tell ya it worked great with the factory pre-sets. Used the X-8 coil. I have hunted my friends 1902 2 story farm house many times, it's kind of a test site I use for new detectors. Fear Of The Unknown.......

Well, I got my Explorer II yesterday. I think it will be fun to learn. Have had the Safari before and it looks like the Explorer will work better for me as a relic hunter.
