Bought a White's V3 it was almost 10 years old, WHites said they would upgrade it to a V3i for the cost of shipping. I sent it in and they not only updated the software they replaced a few faulty parts and reseated all the ribbon wires. Basically got a new machine back. That was 3 years ago...

Went out to my coin garden with my V3i

In Spokane we have highly mineralized soil. I hit IHP's to 9" other day I hit a 1874 Seated dime at 9" in a trashy area. Sometimes the moisture helps. I use a V3i with the Detech 12x15 coil

    V3i VS. VX3

The V3 is also available for sale sometimes. White's will still upgrade to a V3i for free just $25 shipping. This is the way I and another buddy went. Now we both have a fully functional V3i for a fraction of the cost. If you buy a VX3 you could be happy but in time wish you got the V3i...

    Frequencies........

People say if the green frequency hits silver so much better why not run it full time. Well if you don't have any other freq's to compare it to then you won't be able to tell what metal you are probably digging. My Wheats and IHP's hit red dominate like a zincoln, however their VDI is usually...
